While spamming the forums... I might as well continue.
I suggest that a player can only own one fief (or two...). If he chooses to leave his clan the fief follows him (and thus no longer the clans).
This would mean that more factions can be a part of strategus and can work together, thus improving the options for diplomacy.

So we lose stuff just because the one guy owning the fief in question is not online 24/7? Nah
You can already only control and do stuff in fiefs you are in range with, so you can not have 1 player own everything

What do you mean? Being the owner and sending reinforcements is not the same?

Village A gets under attack, the owner of village B could save it with the stuff in his village, but is offline. Either we would have to switch Village B to a new owner or Village A is lost. If we could still switch around how we want, the whole 1 fief per person is not that useful.

While only one player can be the owner of the fief, several players can be assigned as commanders? Thats how I thought of it any way...
