I searched before i made this thread and found nothing on this.
Anyway, i want to make a 2handed rider but im really lost when it comes to choosing a weapon aswell as the build for it all.
My build is kind of broken now, tho when i retire at 31 i want to try this out. Im using the courser and the bardiche right now,
and i feel that the important thing with the weapon is speed and lenght.
Anyone got a tip on what i should use and how i should make my build?
oh btw, If you use the secondary mode on the big 2handed swords, will they be usable on horseback?

I see some people using the morning star on horseback. Its piercing damage works well with the high speed bonus. But keep in mind that using it with a shield will take 1h skill, without a shield it uses 2h skill - even on horseback where it is always wielded with one hand only.

Ho nice, a developper !
Are you sure the morningstar, as a 1.5h weapon, will use the 2h wpf when used on horseback without a shield ? I know it's the case with pure 2h weapons on horseback but i was unsure about 1.5h weapons.

I really like the morningstar, tho its length is only 82, can't afford getting that close to my target. I would need a charger to survive that.
And chargers are slow and boring... "i wanna go fast"

I've only tested 2h Cav with my character who's only got a couple of points dumped into riding but I can say one thing...
The Bardiche is pretty awesome while mounted, it's one of the longest of the 2handers that can be swung on horseback, 102 length only a little shorter than the long and bastard swords.
43 damage and a bonus vs shields is pretty nice.

I have already been a 2h on cav, the main advantage of this is that you can fight on foot and on horseback.
If you are quick enough, there is no need for a shield on a horse, useless in my opinion.
The best sword to use on a horse is surely a longsword, great speed/reach.
You can also use a lance to couch people and then take your sword to swing.
The build I recommend is 18/21.

Thanks for all replys! gonna test longsword and see if i like it better than the bardiche!

Well they are 2 slot items and it's always nice to have a shield breaker and something with 4 directions of attack so you can run with both.
:D
