I agree with this now that the slots have been introduced. A siege ladder can be broken in mere 2 hits from a warspear but yet takes 3 slots from your inventory.
The should shouldn't be boosted much, but 4 hits ought to be the utter minimum.

4 hits won't allow you to climb it in time, either, so I don't see how this would help. Currently, only ladders that are unreachable or hidden stay up long enough to climb them, and I think this is good. Rudkhan castle would not last 1 minute if obvious ladders were viable.

I think ladders should be highly resistant to pierce damage, and yes, have more health.
Also, some siege maps should be added in that are not already damaged (and without siege towers and ladders already present). Personally I'd be all for besieging a fresh castle.
