Title: CRPG for mac
Post by: AwesomeHail on August 21, 2018, 07:20:36 pm
Call me a scrub, hipster or whatever.
I'm trying to get this shit to work on my mac, because my windowns laptop decided to burn itself in a terroristic mood

I tried Wine, but crpg launcher wants to find a file to install c-rpg in, but I found no such file in my library whatsoever. Normally on windows, you'd just go to program files/steam/etc and install it there, but that is not the case here.

the mod is probably dead, but heard some people were still playing from time to time, I just want to feel that bit of nostalgia again :)

NA gets full strat battles EU is in the process of rebuilding but gets 40-60 people on for good fights. China server was up around 40 today. So a good number of people playing still. As for getting it to run on a mac I don't think its possible unless you run windows on your mac. IIRC anyways I am not well versed in the subject I am sure someone else can comment more.

You could try joining the Discord and asking Pestdoktor I know he was running a mac at some point. But I think that WSE2 (which is required for the game) is not compatible with mac.

not compatible,no one can help you,cut bread slices with ur thin ass useless mac,it doesn't have any other use.Study lap dance if you concentrate in this field, your expertise will make you able to buy real big mac (pc)

I think people at some stage managed to get SOMEWHERE with it, but I'm not 100% sure, even if it does work as James said you won't be able to use WSE2 which already creates in itself an issue as a result of that. You'll struggle doing anything on a Crapple bro, sry :(

From what I remember that "somewhere" that people have gotten is down to dual booting windows on the mac, so you either have to buy a copy of windows along with the software you'll need to dual boot or you buy yourself a new computer that functions :c

buy a copy of windows

LOL, good one

dual boot works fine on macbooks and there are hundreds of guides for dummies to get it working, and you can activate windows 10 with any old windows 7 product key you might have on your dead windows machine, or leave unactivated which has some restrictions, or use an activator like KMS pico (gotta download from my digital life forum iirc)
