Someone on 4chan actually posted and said he worked with those making the game right now, a week or so before the first trailer popped up. Whether true or not he said its not id making the game anymore its the mad max game devs or something, and that they are going with something more like that gameplay, and focusing more on the story. It sounded legit, and it also sounded like they are taking some throwaway title (RAGE is amazing dont get me wrong, but its amazing cause of the gunplay and nothing else) and just making some random shit out of it without really caring about the source.
Im trying to keep my hopes up but i really dont want a bland shooter set in post-apoc, i want a sequel to rage that has very alive gunplay.

I thought Rage was a story focused game with some pvp car battle mode and co-op horde killing mode. I never really finished it because well my motion sickness with some 1st person games get to me but i got some pressure point bands I might need to go back and try again. Mad Max game was cool too but I stopped playing for totally different reasons than Rage.

I can already tell you for a fact that you won't be able to fully turn off HUD(and have the game not be an awful nuisance for it), avoid driving, travel the "open world" the way you might want to and I am not even working on the game. Fun is mandatory, the way we designed it. I am much more looking forward to Witchfire for the same run and gun gameplay with better execution and focus. Open world in shooters is a dead meme at this point.(although with STAKER2, Metro and Cyberpunk that might change)

I didnt know it was the Just Cause studio that made the Mad Max game and this one too. That leaked upcoming gamelist from Wal-Mart that this was on also had Just Cause 4 on it too.
Bethesda is just publishing it, its being made by Just Cause devs and ID. One thing that bothered me in the last trailer was the main character went through that punk group like a hot knife through butter makes me wonder if all thr human enemy's are too easy.
