the thing is you cant even say "get a shield" anymore. what am i expected to do when I bring a shield with me and raise it to protect my body, and then archers and throwers lob their ranged weapons at me and get my head and legs and even sometimes right through my shield

my plan was to backstab melee with cav but against all my beliefs, and after 7 years, people in crpg suddenly developed a little sense of teamwork and started to defend their ranged

that's not cool

that's not cool

kinda upsets me, at least 170% of my kills are ganking undefended ranged and then running away

if people start defending them i just don't know what i'll do

In my opinion, Infantries need more hp point. +5 for example.

I'd think it was mainly down to shields being made 0 slot. The slot system was brought in to stop characters being omni-competent, back when everyone was carrying a 2H for normal combat and a pike to skewer cav, and a crossbow & bolts as a sidearm. Taking away the slot for a shield encourages all shielders to put a few points into PT/PD or a some wpf into crossbow so they can have a sidearm again.
