at least no one took the battle too seriously and we managed to have fun RPing as blacksmiths

Good work Taser, your gear was at the try hard level, but I still only tried my best from a peasant level.

Yeah fuck that. Was worse since not everyone seemed to have it. I left the server and rejoined to see if I could get rid of it but nah. So yeah fuck fog.

If I had done a bit better with mats.. might have been more fun once the walls came down so we didn't have to swarm the gates to get in. Glad you had fun though.

I appreciate that Arys. I had felt caps and some mongolian armor if you wanted to go peasant with a little try hardness.

Next time though lads it'll be better. Mats will be aplenty, gear will prob be lessened a bit since I didn't run out of anything besides mats.. half the tickets weren't even used.

Just consult me about the polearms before next time. You were equipped well enough for a field battle, but not for a city siege. :P

Anything on the shorter side that is fast and spammy (not unbalanced). So the bec, polehammer, the plancion should be good (never used it), the long maul is good but unfortunately not available to everyone (dunno why they raised its difficulty with the high level patch, but failed to lower it after levels were lowered). You'll want a good assortment of 2d poles, some longer ones like the corseque or ashwood (in case there are hoplites), and shorter ones like the battlefork or awlpike since plenty of the fighting is close quarters on the walls, in gatehouses, etc., although you obviously won't need too many 2d poles. Then even cheaper weapons like the boar spear or short spear can do work.

Tl;dr: Short and spammy stuff with as high pierce or blunt damage as possible, gotta be able to let your polearms duel as opposed to only play support, just in case they're caught on their own. Even having the option for a few unbalanced weps wouldn't hurt, so long as they hit hard, i.e. the long morningstar.
