Also known as ladder paradise.
Also known as Unfair Castle.
Also known as the worst map ever that has to go.

worst map ever that has to go.
Straight to the point.
-
Is that the map where people can just waltz up the hill?
-
This map is on the to do list and being worked on.

This map is on the to do list and being worked on.
Thank you, it's comforting to know.
-
The only way to balance this map would be:
- remove the castle
- remove the hills
Everything else means not symmetric = unfair.

Erm, I was talking about it in siege mode, not battle
It has absolutely no place in battle though, that's also true.
-
Er... er... I knew that! M-hmmmm! Really!
-
It's actually pretty simple to fix, let defenders go up there, too.
-
the siege map where the gate is opened from the ground floor near the flag but the defenders cannot get to the gate without jumping off the walls. needs tweaking imo with a stair down to it, or the opening mechanism moved upstairs. once attackers get to the flag area and open gate its an automatic win since they can spawn rush the flag in seconds. I never seen defenders win that map.

That's another map but true, that could use another way off the walls than lemming mode.

You can jump on the buildings, then on the ground. There are few spots were you take no damage.
-
even so its still way to hard to defend and too easy to attack on that map. they shud just move the gate opener upstairs.
-
With the new shorter time for attackers, it's doable. But for the full time, you are certainly right.
-
Uhm, which map is it you're talking about? Any pictures or description?
-
The OP is talking about the desert map with mountains on sides.
Attackers can walk freely on the mountains and reach the flag safely.
-
Jameyyed Castle is the native desert castle in the mountains, where you have to climb several stairs from the ground to get up at the flag, and where attackers sometimes build ladder bridges along the hills on the right to get on top of the buildings where defenders can't go. This really needs a fix, and I suggest a simple ladder up from the flag area to the highest building. This way, defenders could go up there and hack the ladderbridge down.
Banok was talking about Hailes Castle, the castle from native with the two roofed wall segments at each side of the gate tower, one of which has a hole blown in supposedly by catapults. I agree with him, that once the portcullis is open, the map is basically over, because the attackers can just rush the gatehouse, and the defenders have no chance to close the gate, because the winch is located on the ground level, where attackers rush by. Defenders have a real chance to hold it for 6-7 minutes, though, if they camp the gatehouse.
-
Ah, those.
Well in Jameyyed Castle you can either put up a ladder or you can walk on that hill from the wooden way to the gatehouse.
Since ladders are removed after each round it isn't such a big issue anymore imo.
In Hailes Castle in don't think moving the winch will do a big difference though the attacker will get to it even quicker if it's upstairs.
The defenders/attackers can jump down at each side of the gatetower onto the huts or at the left corner of the house opposing it without dmg.

Yes, but the spawn points are at the back of the castle, and you have to go around the whole castle, if you want to get down without damaging yourself.
-
You can also use the house. If you drop from the leftmost edge, you won't take fall damage.
