Yeah, we are about to enter 2018 and people tend to be unavailable this weekend. So should we freeze Strategus to save our work? Discuss.

No, because our population was actually boosted in Christmas, and New Years Eve covers a shorter timespan and is a global event. (not official statement lol, my thoughts)

True but there was also no bug that pushed the battles forward. People could choose to not have their fight at Christmas, now it kinda got forced. I vote for it being frozen on Sunday.

No battles were initiated for Sunday they were just pushed forward, So at-least pause it for Sunday. We can continue on the Monday.
Adding on to Arn, we actually took a decision to have no battles on Christmas between the factions.

Leave the strat map open and give everyone exhaustion but push all attacks onto late Monday or Tuesday

That's already been explained, we did not freeze for Christmas because we did not need to, we agreed just between clans not to fight. Also we did not have battles pushed a day ahead.

I am a proponent of radicalism in the matter of "time control".
Either completely let people decide what they do and dont interact with the battles and availability of the strategus website, or heavily regulate it around every major holidays (even nighttimes could be reworked). Its just a question of choice and to go along with it.

Strategus battles will be frozen for 24 hours starting ~4 PM CET/GMT (one of those times for you european folks). Movement in strat has already been frozen, and will remain frozen for 24 hours or so.
