Mouse and keyboard are devices you interact every time you're on your PC, kinda like your monitor. Yet people often try to save on mice and keyboards and sometimes on monitors and go overboard on some stupid hardware component they barely use. Buy some quality mechanical keyboard with switches that aren't producing much noise. You're German, should be able to afford it. It will last you much longer than cheap keyboard with plastic switches. Japanese known their shit when it comes to precise electronics just like you Germans. Every single unit on sale is quality, no exceptions.

When keyboard fails it's either cable losing contact or plastic switches that are pressed more time then they can handle. My keyboard still works but have cable issues depending on the angle. It is ergonomic Logitech keyboard, paid 5 euros exactly ten years ago. It is with plastic crap switches tho.

As a dentist you have people paying you many thousands of euros to fix their teeth. If not careful you could end up paying similar amounts for therapies for carpal tunnel syndrome, if you keep insisting on using cheap input devices.

I don't have carpal tunnel syndrome because I'm using ergonomic keyboard for past 15 years. Would probably suffer from it if I was using regular keyboard.

I'd never thought that I'd say that but on this subject I agree with Leshma, mouse and keyboard should be top-notch quality I have a Sharkoon mouse that is covered in dragon scales, if dragon scales aren't ergonomic then I have no idea what is, it's like petting a dragon.
