Title: cRPG Patreon - Donations For NA and EU Servers

Alright so just to keep you guys updated Professor now thinks that he is able to add items in. We will be updating the EU server and putting up the NA server in the coming week or so hopefully.

I will be accepting donations that will go 100% to funding the servers through Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/cRPGMod).

Costs of our previous NA server were roughly 45$ per month. I'd like to get something a little more substantial to provide a less laggy server for players so we will be looking to raise 60-75$/month. Considering the people who have already stated their desire to contribute this should be no problem.

UPDATE: We now have a goal of 180$/month to help pay for EU Servers as well (REACHED)

UPDATE II: We now have a goal of 275$/month to help pay for buying new items for cRPG from Zimke! (REACHED)

UPDATE III: Zimke fundraiser complete now targetting a goal of 160$/month for NA and EU Server costs (REACHED)

The way it was set up was for recurring payments as I would like to set up a system that won't depend on individuals deciding month to month if they want to donate. It's easiest for us if we set it up with players who can reliably donate small amounts. Alternatively you can donate and then cancel it after a month.

We have already raised enough money for the first month (Axeman and I's donation of 30$/mo does not show on the patreon). I can look into making it possible to do one time donations if we need to for next month. I'll be looking into server providers tomorrow.

Pestdoktor has graciously agreed to help us set up the NA servers so many thanks to him.

Can we get the boulder on a stick/2 handed DTV greatsword /Yesdachi and all the other special items as donation rewards?
Or, something like keeping the snowballs forever  :o
Not all together, just one of your choice for each donation or something.

No those weapons are not available as rewards. Donkey Helm/Armour are the rewards for donating as they don't massively give advantage over other players.

Ill put down 150$ or more if these ransoms are met:

Publicity/Advertise ( Ask HoC/Occitan/BRD/whoever else to come back and play strat and battle)
Wipe strat! (^^^Also helps out this cause cause if u wipe strat people need to play NA1 for ticks and big clans will banner balance and it will populate)
Suck my toes

Seriously if I can get on this game everyday/night and have a 10vs10 in NA1 and have something to work for on strat and have fun you cannot put a $$$ tag on that for me, I could make all the money in the world and nothing compares to having fun in CRPg as sad as that sounds, Ive played this game and CRPG since i came out like 8+ years ago.

HoC, Occitan and BRD are never coming back save a few of them. Wipe question has been answered a thousand times.

There were 30 players on NA 1 yesterday night.

Old clans coming back would be cool but its unlikely IMO. We've been getting a lot of new players interested in strat, better plan would be helping them get started now prior to the wipe in early 2018 so that way they can hit the ground running.

Yeah I have asked most of those old clans and while a few of the guys have come back the entire group is unrealistic. As for a strat wipe its probably coming in early 2018

Updated to reflect our new goal of 120$/month to help Pestdoktor with hosting the EU servers.

Considering putting up some stretch goals and looking into paying to have new high quality items commissioned as well.

I'm a 3d modeler. I would like to work with you, I have little time but if I take a small commission to make models that motivates me. I work with zbrush, wings3d and substance painter.

I can make models of the environment, the walls and their different phases of destruction. Well, I can do anything, I just need images.

Just so you know, a major hindrance is that things need to look good low-poly for crpg,  otherwise they'll cause shittons of lag. I forget exactly what the max poly-count was per item, but just make sure w.e. you make looks just as good when you downscale it. I.e. you might need to leave the ripples in the hat for the texture artist.

I like your enthusiasm but I would ask a bit around in the community about if a pest mask is wanted since it isn't really a usual battlefield object. I'd also check out some items and helmets from warband first and check out the topology so you get the lowpoly version right. Btw for non-organic modeling I'd recommend a lowpoly-to-highpoly workflow so you get more accurate borders, Zbrush's polygroups and hard surface modeling are a hot tip here ;)

ye I think its cool, another fun item such as the donkey hat. Also fyi: Our EU server host's name is "Pestdoktor", which is basically german for pest doctor (...), that hat belda is making is some awesome appreciation. Lets call it "Pestdoktor's hat"

Considering the donations has now reached double the amount that it took for top tier NA servers, could we get a stable host for the EU servers? Last days has been really bonky.

I kinda agree with that actually, we're at a point where we're bringing in more money than needed for the servers, so we should be using this money to get more powerful hosts.

Patreon monthly donations are only sent on the 1st of each month. It takes a few days for paypal to process the payments after that.
