Title: PUBG
Post by: Xant on September 02, 2017, 10:45:29 pm
#1 concurrent players this weekend for the first time, 930k. That means over 11 million copies sold. It's been growing by 40,000+ every weekend and no end in sight.

Meanwhile, DayZ all time peak was 45,000, and that was just after release. After that it was in decline instantly.

PUBG is the proof that gamers don't want to be underestimated by these consolized, Ubisoft hand-holding games. In fact, most of us have been desperate for something like PUBG for a long time. One decently made hardcore game (look what you could have been DayZ if you weren't developed by retards) instantly becomes insanely popular.

I hope developers take note, though realistically it's probably too late for the triple A studios with their producers and men-in-suits making the decisions. I don't even think PUBG is designed that smartly (it has way too many random elements, e.g., in recoil patterns, for me to really take seriously) but it's still a breath of fresh air.

Damn that game, entire clan is playing it now. Kill it before it grows further. Shooter games can eat dookie

When are the smaller maps gonna come out? Solo on the big map is really fucking boring.

Drop to one of the contested places and if you survive grab a vehicle. Not boring then.

Also, there's matchmaking. You're not playing with the "pros" or the 24/7-since-release people, you're playing with other newbs and awful players.

Yeah I'll have fun for about 5 minutes before the zone starts to move and then the 30 minutes of camping starts.

I blame millennials. First moment arena shooters went out of fashion and were replaced by these roaming grind simulators is a moment when gaming died for me. Also that main twitch pubg star looks like a proper douchebag.

But general idea is nice, I'd like some real life Battle Royale with members of this forum on a deserted island.

DrDisrespect is one of the most entertaining streamers ever if you ask me and I generally dislike most of twitch streamers, I think they're either boring or just downright cringy. Unless you mean shroud, who is pretty down to earth and his skill is off the charts, doubt you meant him. If you meant scummit I agree though

Do we have to wear namebadges reflecting our real cRPG names? Or can I tell everyone i'm Thibaut?

Thanks for reminding me of Thibaut

I'd totally tell everyone I'm Ivan Drago uhm I mean Ivani4, but doubt anyone would believe me.

Would totally reckonize Krems, Pepe would be around and we know his face very well.

Yeah.......

This massive new engine reveal, 20 minutes of gameplay, and they have what, new walking animations? Woohoo. Meanwhile they showcase zombies still being glitched as fuck and everything being as shitty as ever.

Like I said before, there's going to be a much more decent DayZ modded from PUBG before DayZ becomes anything close to complete.

Well would you look at that. I think Asia will be the first part of the world to be conquered by self aware AI and VR IV machines. So susceptible. Much sad.

Game was fun for like 2 minutes but its just rife with hackers and shit tier admins. You can get banned for killing streamers LOL. Play that Battle Royale: Fortnite game for free and get literally the EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE except with better net code, better weapons, better map, more fluid game play, less hackers, and more fun.

Yeah, that's just bullshit. Hackers have been more prevalent in the recent weeks, but I've still only encountered two ever. They also haven't banned anyone for stream sniping in a long while, and if you're not a stream sniper, you don't have anything to worry about, so why should you care?

Fortnite is a completely different game than PUBG, not the "literally EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE" at all. It's a lot more casual and easier and the weapons have a ton of RNG. It's babbu's first battle royale, which, to be fair, is clearly what someone like Tristan prefers. But it's like comparing Mario with Tomb Raider.

Yeah, Fortnite is not the same at all. The only thing it does better is the performance and non-stiff movement. Shooting mechanics in that game are horrible, aim at general direction and pray for rng.

Shooting mechanics in that game are horrible, aim at general direction and pray for rng.
And that's exactly why some people love it. When they lose all the firefights in games like PUBG because it's about skill since bullets go where you aim, it's a lot better to hop on to Fortnite where everyone is at the mercy of RNG and the baddies can get kills too when they get more lucky.

What a fucking amazing game...

Played 50 matches so far, havent won a single one yet, even though I always make it to the top 10.

Pros for me.

Very hard game, you can easily die
Controling is pretty easy to learn
Plenty of gear with a lot of weapon addons that can make the difference
Huge detailed map
win or lose you enjoy the game
it offers you two kinds of gaming, 1. Play seriously and make it as far as possible, 2. Fuck it all and create a mayhem

What I only want from this game, is an even harder mode where weapons arent fucking everywhere..
