Pretty much any good archer is going to realize "hey this guy goes right to left at pretty consistent movement speed and zig zags. If I time it right I'll hit him as he goes one way or the other."throw some sidesteps and backpedals in the mix too.
So you gotta be unpredictable with the zigs and zags. You can mix it up too. Zig zig then zag then zig then zig 2 more times before zagging 4. Mix it up.
Agree, even on horse simple weaving isn't enough, sudden slowing down and acceleration thrown into the mix helps a lot too.
