Most people like battle best, and that is cool.
Population has been growing lately. It is known that even more people would come back to the game if siege was a possibility as well.
HOWEVER, right now, there aren't enough people to populate a 2nd server, and we don't want to split up the population we have. That would be terrible.
THEREFORE, it was agreed upon in a discord conversation that once day week we should turn off the battle server (or password protect it) and turn on the siege server -- and to add to the appeal, give an XP bonus for that day on the siege server.
The rest of the week, the siege server would be down or password protected.
I think Sunday would be nice...Siege Sunday with XP boost! Chime in with your thoughts.
What do you think, Dupre & Co.?

I definitely like this idea. I think siege is great for new players as it allows them to spawn back in faster when they die.
The one thing we need to be careful about is splitting the population. We might want to consider doing this only after we have put out one or two good patches and grown the mod population a bit more.
That being said as someone that played a lot of siege in my earlier gens I do think it is something we should try to get back at some point. No doubt there are a lot of players that would prefer siege to battle.

you shouldn't force people to play a certain server, that's a shit idea. Just try and populate the server by yelling SUNDAY SIEGE

Now this would be enforcement. I'd say leave the battle server up, but take Gryt's idea of incentivising Siege on Sundays with higher ticks (maybe an x2 minimum or similar). Those who wish to only play battle will still have a semi-decent population while still bringing a little mix in the game, allowing new players to enjoy increased XP and Gold for trying a different game mode.

Love me some siege. Can we? Please?
