also, it wasn't removing ladders that killed this game, it was the implementation of the xp multi, which caused the population to resent artistic expression.

EU followed shortly after with the release of OKAM.

Now that donkey crew left OKAM,  there has been a nice revival,  50 guys on NA and 30 on EU are frequently reached in primetime.

Strat 5 in a nutshell

Siege after siege happened at new Durquba, 17 or 18 sieges in all, with each army being smashed on the walls and in the streets of new Durquba. In the end despite the death of the blessed and inebriated Emperor Bryggan no army NA or EU could take the Holy chadzian Empire fortress and the graveyards outside new Durquba grew to house the more than 30 thousand dead enemies.

Durquba was never conquered despite us having more enemies than any other faction of strategus 5. Say whatever you wan't plumbo but we killed every army that attacked it  8-)

Wasn't Durquba the fief where we always crushed your defenses, but due to stupid flag locations you just kept putting flags up? Naked peasants were able to defend that village against armed troops. Make Acre achieving that seem less impressive. I also remember how Acre bragged about defending Curaw valiantly, but then they decided to just give up the last battle, real valiant James. Then again what can you expect from the faction that spent strat 5 receiving free fiefs, sat in those fiefs all strat and shit talked the people who actually did stuff.

Halmar was the fief we defended with peasant gear against a 5k army. Durquba was mostly fighting on the walls, courtyards, stairs, or in the fields in front of the town. I don't blame you for blanking it from your memory I don't know how you guys had the interest to attack 18 times. Playing defense was always much more enjoyable in my opinion.

Real talk though, is the trash talk in NA really that bad? I mean, people use naughty words, but it's almost always tongue in cheek, not anything that's seriously intended to hurt someone. Surely it's not unreasonable to expect internet users to ignore or mute players that they find offensive?

Unlike the shit that happens on the Australian warband servers where people are like "I'm going to hunt you down and fucking kill you irl you pathetic fucking nijja" and then follow through with it (not joking, we've had multiple instances of serious stalking, one player actually moved IRL when a group of players harassed the fuck out of them in-game and eventually found their address and sent death threats and shit to their door). NA cRPG isn't perfect, but it's generally a pretty jolly place to be imo

I was also away doing something the night n****rgate took place. Desire was harsh in banning so many for so long but didn't deserve to be deadminned imho.
