And in 3rd, disrespectfully deep shit community.
Seriously, they spent 6 years to develop a free mod more successful than what Taleworlds made and after all this time you keep to spit on their face.
and no I didn't get the joke.

a free mod more successful than what Taleworlds made
but mod is ded

If he knows OKAM is shit then I'm guessing he purchased their game. Giving them money isn't really spitting on their face.

"Community" lol, there is no community anymore, either over here or on the okam forums. By destroying cRPG, and then fucking up the release for okam the devs basically wiped out both of their communities at the same time.
Would be much more beneficial for devs to have kept cRPG alive so that a large portion of their playerbase are still active and not dead like 99% of their okam only playerbase is. Seeing as okam is utter dogshit currently, no one wants to play that so everyone has moved onto other games made by other companies/devs, by keeping cRPG at least the donkeys would have still had some control and could even have pulled the plug when okam is in a more playable state.
Unfortunately they were too short sighted and had the attitude of 'we have a new game now so you can't play our old game anymore' doesn't really fill anyone with confidence or any feelings of goodwill towards them.
As far as spitting in anyones face, it's more them spitting in ours. We supported them for 6 years and in the end they took our money and gave us a pile of shit in return.
(btw, my actual opinions aren't necessarily as strong as these, but i'm more than willing to play the role of the badguy to create some much needed drama)

I agree with you for this part and I myself preached for the same strategy in the past (http://forum.melee.org/general-discussion/please-chadz-fix-c-rpg/msg1222799/#msg1222799).
But I suppose they spent too much time on cRPG and they have a lot of work to do on OKAM, they should have transfer the control to another devs/the community, I myself was interested in the past to be part of the development but without success.
And sorry but I don't understand why people sudently left the game, did they left because there wasn't new update/features ? There is already so much interesting things..
I just think people left after having played 6 years on this game, Warband, not only cRPG, and they are looking for a recent game. I don't play on native so It's just an hypothesis.

chadz tried to keep cRPG alive, and he did have some success( you're able to play it now right?). Bugs/issues would come up almost every patch. Launcher breaks, compiler breaks, server issues etc. Most of the issues I was unable to fix cause of not having access or just not knowing how to fix it. So at some point im sure chadz realized that he doesn't have the time to go back and fourth, especially right now. Pretty sure all his time is spent and focused on their game like it should be.
I haven't talked to chadz since July, and he hasn't replied back to my last 7 messages. I understand his situation though. No reason to throw insults and hold grudges.. a lot of people have spent a lot of their free time working on crpg for the past six years, not getting paid or compensated in any way. I would rather have six years of time than that chump change of 40k the community donated back in 2012(not trying sounds negative but 40k in six years is nothing).
Be patient, pretty sure no one on the donkey team are experienced professional developers(besides harald, not sure if hes touched gaming professionally though). Pretty sure this is all new to them.

Can he not just roll it back to a working version from like 6 months or a year ago and then just leave it to run itself, no need for any more new patches and everyone left will be happy.

It's possible but most likely would cause a lot more harm than good unless chadz has a good amount of free time to spare... You must also remember, chadz stopped focusing on cRPG in 2012-2013. A lot of the code/scripts aren't even what chadz created or implemented. Tydeous, San, Senni, me, and a couple others all have touched crpg's code and implemented something since 2013. If chadz were to fix something in crpg today, he would first need to look over and review the code since he hasn't really officially touched it since 2013. That alone would take a crap load of time. After he figures out whats going on, he than has to figure out how to fix the issue. Very time consuming..
I do feel that chadz should of took himself out of this loop by giving someone full access. Unfortunately there wasn't anyone in the community at the time that could take on that task or would be interested in doing for FREE.

And to be honest, it kind of makes me sad the community is turning on the Donkies. Pretty sure the Donkies are all getting chump change for their time on OKAM right now. Green Man Group is not a big publisher https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/green-man-gaming#/entity (https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/green-man-gaming#/entity) (not hating). I'm pretty sure their investment was small, EA most likely was used to get numbers for the investors. Investors saw the numbers and most likely dropped some more funds into the Donkies which is how they were able to hire more team members.
Like I said earlier, this is the Donkies first time working on a game besides cRPG. Mistakes will happen, guaranteed they will be fixed in the near future and we'll get an amazing game in the end.
-
Sad for Donkeys, they are working hard and getting shat upon quite a bit. As for this community, kinda glad is it slowly but surely falling apart. May it never rise again lol

If it was more successful than what Taleworlds made why are there 100's of people still playing Warband and 0 playing crpg. Also I gave more money to cRPG than I did Warband. Plus bought okam but still like Warband better.

I did too, 150 € in total, but for 6 years of happiness it's peanuts.
This money didn't goes to hoes and donkeys farm but to pay the 6 EU / US servers up.
But I still doesn't explain why people left cRPG, the game is still playable and fun, since the last 2 years I nearly only played on DTV that's probably why I didn't noticed people leaving / rage quitting.
I think the big mistake the devs made was to listen the players' whines about nerf / buff class, this totally fucked up the game at every update, every month balance was fucked up.
-
And people still doesn't understand what Early Access Game means, what is that implies.

so how much does taleworlds pay to keep their servers up and running esp when it got to the game going for $5 a pop every steam sale, where crpg servers more expensive or something? I am just replying because you said they made something better than Taleworlds did.

cRPG servers were on NFO most of their life which were pretty expensive back in the day. Their servers specs weren't a potato either.. I think EU might actually still be on NFO, not 100% sure.
Taleworlds unknown but most likely funded by investors. Taleworlds is one of Turkey's biggest game developers, i'm sure keeping their servers up is no problem for them..

ok thank you for the info.
-
CN server has the same problem. The server is running, but no one is playing. Why?
First, to play other games, mainly in the copycat MB.
Second, CRPG update maintenance stop, no management.
Third, disappointed with OKAM,and Donkeys.
I think the main reason is second.
Treatment:
Fix new item bug, fix balance, issue a long-term stable version.
Do not add new things, the current enough, only the stability is good.
-
Release Blade Cavalry in the west and treatment not needed.

This is a big worry regarding OKAM too, the fact that after 6 years cRPG is still in beta and was still being tweaked is not a good thing. It should have just been released as finished in like 2013 when imo it was at its best insteadf of this constant nerfing/buffing and changing shit that didn't need changing. If they act the same with OKAM it will probably be in EA for 20 years. Quite simply devs need to realize that they can't please everyone so stop trying to do that.
