Title: Password protection

So we had some incidents with people guessing other players password and nicking their heirlooms. We returned most of it I think, but for the future, it's up to you to keep your password secure.

First: do NOT use your char name as your password. It wasn't really important before the marketplace, but now, transferrable heirlooms increases the interest in char hacking. Make sure all your chars have a password set. We will soon bring you a feature to allow setting a new password for all chars.

Second: do not steal heirlooms. It will result always in you getting banned. And it's easily traceable.

new website update:
- observing password guessing people,
- you can now set a password on all alts,
- when you login, it tells you if your password is crap or if you have unpassworded alts

Also, 3 people were DB-banned because of this incident.

feel free to post 350 words in the unban essay thread. We then decide if the ban is permanent or temporary.

I think it involves logging onto the cRPG website and pressing the 'delete character' button.

Also remember to make sure all your alts have passwords, as if an alt didn't have one, anyone could set one on it and then switch to your main character.

well, we also added a default value to that field, so (hopefully) it's not filled with your password any more.

someone wanna give it a try?

Thanks a lot for the added feature, i indeed add one character with no password.  :shock:
All clear now, i had to put my password on a side note though, else i wouldn't be able to remember it.  :mrgreen: keyboard possibilities y§┼}☼$    ftw.
