I hope they're thinking on how to reduce system requirements D:
I mean that would be nice and all, but have you watched any lets plays of the game? it looks 10x better than crpg ever did and I played on high end machine ultra graphics. I now have a shit pc same as you. But 200 man battles, those graphics...not much is going to change in the terms of system requirements. Maybe they will drop the 16gb ram to 8gb recommended and maybe the gpu's but the cpu will most likely not change. Will need a lot of processing power to be lag free during the battles, so anything above a i3 will be enough. On amd side anything FX 6300 and up. Games these days, need a decent pc to run shit.

depends. i got gtx750 ti, if i can play it with 40-50 fps, then yea i would buy it. however there is no way i can play it with said fps judging by the current powerful sytem requirements. they better do something about that.

Yeah, they totally better downgrade the entire game so your potato GPU can run it at 40-50 FPS, because fuck everyone else and fuck having games with modern technology that look awesome.
OR you can upgrade your PC to keep up with gaming like everyone else has to . You can always buy it on Steam once it releases, set graphics to low, then try it out, if it doesn't run well then you can refund it within 2 hours. What CPU do you have?

You're not going to need 16 GB RAM to play the game, that much I'm 100% sure of. The only person who would need 16 GB RAM and higher are graphical designers or those who just want a tiny bit extra power.

Did you try the game? Everyone can try it for free right now, play against bots (you can spawn any number of them) and see for themselves, if it runs well.

Yeah I totally agree, I do not know any game at the moment that requires 16gb ram. Most I have seen is 8gb, which is pretty standard in most pc's these days even store bought. But that is maybe the only thing that will be downgraded. Games require more than dual cores and sub 200 dollar gpu's to run properly these days sadly.

I put over a thousand hours into CRPG, but only 53 in Chivalry and a hundred in other M&B multi mods so...
Hoping that OKAM will be worthy of my time as well... more worthy than just "there is nothing better out there", even.

tbh, gtx750 ti is not a potato, and the version i have is better than other gtx 750 ti models( asus 750ti 2 gb overclocked), i3 4130 cpu and 8 gb ram. i can play lots of modern games with proper fps, even gta 5 with 35-50 fps. judging by the graphics okam has, i do not think one would need monster gpu to play it properly, however looking at the gameplay videos the game demands very powerful rigs than it should need. look at this one, dude got gtx 1070 and cant even play with 60 fps.. around 1.13 it even goes down to 35 fps. i know the game is still in developing process, and im merely asking a better optimization for not everyone got monster pc. and people who got low-medium class gaming pcs like mine are the majority.

no i havent tried it, i didnt even know it was possible. i will certainly download and try it.
edit: well i tried it, i can play it with 45-55 fps with proper graphic settings (no msaa, ambient occlusion disabled, resolution scale %100, texture quality ultra) and without 150 bots its around 55-60 fps. its quite playable i must say. no lags nothing. better than expected. beautiful graphics too.

To be honest i3 4130 is not a bad little dual core. Its advantage is having hyper threading which makes the pc see it as a quad core. Also not many games will utilize more than 4 cores and I am sure OkAM will be no different. Thing that has me is 16gb ram lol, even the most demanding games i.e Crysis, Far cry, Gta 5 dont require 16gb ram, 8 at the most. That is good that you can play it with decent fps.

you should try the game by downloading it. i think the only reason it demands such powerful ram is that there will be hundreds of players in the field, nonetheless i think its still to much, 8 should be more than enough. whats your spec?

Got in last night for the first time... for like literally 5 seconds. It was 1pm, needed to go to bed. But jumped in. Died within 5 seconds while type a "hey everyone" message. The game ended before I could respawn. Logged out afterwards to go to bed.
But looking forward to a fun future!!!

Im playing this now and waiting for the epic map to be released. But I also have a complaint about the performance.. I'm running the game on Medium/High with Shadows and Ambient Occlusion pretty much low/none.
