Yeah although it crashed like 30 min after download after I picked my Charmander. But from the little I saw ingame and gameplay vids to it seems refreshing. I'd give it 1 week till it's completely or relatively stable.

A game related to evolution claiming Darwin Awards, there's something of poetic justice to it. I've seen a few "gets run over walking into middle of the street" and "wanders into shithole ghetto neighborhood" stories already, I think it's going to become a thing.

I don't hate the game, don't even play it. Just find it hilarious that reddit is full of stupid people (or children) who claim that is super important and revolutionary game. While being reskin of an old AR game that was promoted by Google but it didn't have pokemons so no one ever bothered to check it out. Well, I guess that was expected. There are people still buy Nintendo consoles and their games, after like 20th rehash of the same games they originally created 30-35 years ago.

You can bet your ass (before ISIL gang claim it), that Niantic will shortly after lease their services to another big corporation, to make same game for their franchise. You know those Lego games? It's going to be just like that. And the Chinese clones, millions of them.

Yeah, because it wasn't about pokemons. That other game, Ingress, has better and more intellectually demanding gameplay. But has no pokemons. Nor it is simple enough for every simpleton to enjoy it.

Can you really argue against claim that everything hugely important isn't simpleton grade quality?

I dont play the game, couldnt care less about it, but I know that when millions of people buy something it means the related industries are bound to make some technological advances and this is great.
