Oh please let it be good, Vampire:the Masquerade atmosphere and gameplay were so different and awesome.

Inb4 they outsource the development to BioWare.
New and improved dialogue, streamlined, modernised and now with even more transfeminine characters. Perk related leveling system. Accessible controls.

Boyarski left Blizzard last week or so, joined Obsidian. Tim Cain is still there and doesn't seem to be preoccupied with Tyranny (game systems are being designed by some unknown developer). It is very likely those two formed a team within Obisidian to start working on new game in Vampire series. Doubt it will come anytime soon. Hope it will be FPS/TPS action kind of RPG and not Infinity engine like game.

Deus Ex this year, Cyberpunk 2077 coming in some years and now Vampire Bloodlines series might be brought back to life? Awesome. One of my favorite games of all time.
Although I have doubts whether if they can capture that Bloodlines Masquerade feeling of everything being gritty, dark and not feeling too Twilight-y or Michael Bay-y

I'm sure they can but want a bit different take on it this time. Gritty vampires are a bit late 90s, early 2000s. I just love depiction of vampires in Shiki, with all their weaknesses. They are incredibly weak beings, both physically and emotionally even tho they seem invincible. Show me realistic community of vampires, where they aren't dominant side and I'm sold.

I love the late 90s early 2000s goth-ish vampiric theme to it tho :(
Wish we got a remaster of the original.

I'm guilty of it as well. Character I played first was Toreador. Seductive and crafty bastard with emphasis on sweet talking NPCs but little bit of a loser deep inside. He had that 90s vibe to it, like character from Jarmusch movies.
