Title: Shall the devs add to shop a......
Post by: Mirliva on April 23, 2016, 09:05:16 pm
Hello hello; Can the developers add a new armor type that only created by a red cloak and pants into a naked body? There's lots of almost unarmored fun players except our clan and that will be perfect for all who's playing like it. It's easy to create. Just remove the black part of Nord Nobleman Shirt.

Edit: Typos

There are various bodies of different colours, and skin cannot be dinamically coloured in armours, so it would need to be a constant, and then it would look horrendous on characters with the wrong skin tone. This is why we have no armours that show skin

Erm; here what I say; Just remove the Nord Nobleman Shirt's black part so there'll be no skin problem. There's lots of mods that all of them created by like that; cmon there's a horsie helmet it's not hard..

Get Bellum Romae or the other shit Rome warband mod I didnt play yet, open item list, choose what you need/want, copy the .brf files and textures and try to make it run in cRPG by exchanging the files of an existant armor. 90% work done by you and I am pretty sure someone will add it for you spergs.

It is allowed if you only change the armor meshes/texture, we had that already some time ago.
I just meant that you could try to make it run yourself so devs  will have less work which makes it much more likely to happen.

As Cassi said,
item advisors posted from time to time (can't find quote) that it's more likely to get items added when you grab and upload the modle files of your desired items/mod, make 2 screenshots how it's look like ingame, give it some temporarily stats like name, weight, costs and so on.

That's not how armor works in Warband. Armor overwrites the body mesh and replaces it with the armor mesh. You make it sound like armor is added on top of the body, which is not the case.

There are two ways how to get armor show skin dependent on the character model. One is to define a new dynamically colored texture space similar to the heraldic items, which get their texture from the banner in use. The other one is adding an armor class that adds itself on top to the body's mesh instead of overwriting it. If you can figure out how to do either and deliver code, skin showing armors will be possible.

In summary, my research concludes that 300 is not a battle movie, but gay porn. All evidence, first and foremost the frequent closeups of Leonidas' gluteal cleft, provides strong empirical support this thesis. This paper may be prone to researcher bias, because unlike other males, I do not start drooling uncontrollably at the sight of beefcake and homosexual interaction by means of various novelty insertions. The resulting practical implications for research and management recommend agents to rationally abstain from associating themselves with 300-related material, since the concomitant social stigma translates ceteris paribus into a loss of utility.

However it is done, I would like to see some more Greek based armours, something similar to what Spartan's wear too, right now we can either appear naked or wear a piece of clothing which offers no protection, I'd love to see some more armour's that offer the sort of Spartan style but with a bit more protection.

SO MOD DESERVES TO BE DIED!
This abomination was not meant to live from the very moment it was conceived. And yet it here it stands, despite all the cancer and blight flowing in its veins. For it lives not by its own strength, but by the strength of those foolish enough to be trapped by its tempting juices.

I really doubt Spartans just wore a cape and underwear in battle (maybe they did, either way I don't care!). Either make the armor yourself, without any skin showing, or try to find an appropriate file that is available to download and present it here. Greek armor is hard to find without skin showing since they are all gay men apparently.

I will never understand the obsession of not wearing armor to role play as a Spartan. The movie 300 is not a good source for your historical reference, btw.
