Post by: Sir_Hans on March 30, 2016, 08:16:54 pm
I'm coming back to califernia!!! finally I can go grocery shopping without paying $200 for 2 bags of groceries!
Got me excited I can once again get more into cooking meals from scratch without breaking the bank.

So please share your favorite recipes or other cooking advice or tips! I'll start off and share a few of my favorites.

Here's one I'm totally going to cook when I get back. If anyone wants feel free to take a life insurance policy out on me before I eat it.

Yes I'm American, How could you tell?

It's like a toned down version of Epic Meal Time.

Yeah pretty much. It's like an edible version of epic meal time that has a reduced chance of landing you in the hospital or the ground :3

Ultrakil

Get some chicken filets, get some honey, red wine (any kind, can be cheap), get a little bit of soy sauce, onions, garlic and some mushrooms.
melt some butter into a big pan and wait till its hot, then dump the chicken in it (wich is salted and peppered). after 2 mins put in the rest of the shit and cook till it has a nice colour

eat with taters/fries whatever.

Sounds pretty good, I would fuck with that.

What are chicken filets though? Is that like a chicken breast sliced into small thin strips?

quick hint I discovered lately: when you´re making pancakes and adding flour to the eggs and milk: add the flour while you´re stirring! The dough will get way more delicate and it´ll be easier lateron that the air stays in it -> fluffier pancakes! I´ve also been trying different types of flour lately: spelt flour gave me the best results yet, it also adds a great taste to your pancakes.

Awesome breakfast:

Recipe:

Ingeredients:
1 dl Oatmeal
2 dl of water
3 ml salt

Cooking instructions:
Put the ingredients in a deep plate(4-5 dl size) mix the salt around with a spoon(10-30 ml size).
Put the plate in the microwave oven for 4-7 min on 600-700W.
Play crpg for 30-45 min(minimum 20 minutes if you are in a hurry)
Take the deep plate out and eat it, don't add anything to it.

Description of taste:
A little salty and starchy taste.
The feeling can make the less manly wimps throw up, the cold gelatinous mass easily triggers the puke reflex.
After eating it you will now that taste is overrated.
It's a horrible taste and feel, so you might be asking: Why torture yourself?

The answer is simple: It's a challenge to eat breakfast and it your stomach will be working properly for that day. The best benefit with it is that the taste and feel alone wakes you up really well.

Yo man you talking pancakes!

I cook that shit every sunday for my kids. Try adding 3 Tbsp of melted butter to your 1 egg 1 and 1/4 cup milk. WHISK THAT SHIT!

In a large bowl:
Your dry ingredients should be 1 and 1/2 cup flour (unbleached), 3 and 1/2 tsp baking powder, 3 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp salt, (I THINK that's everything!) will double check recipe tonight. STIR THAT SHIT!

Add in your milk and shit to your large bowl of dry ingredients. MIX THAT SHIT!

Heat your stove or pan or hot plate to about 350 for best results. Flip pancakes, not when they bubble but when the edge starts to look more opaque, almost like it's cooking (because it is you heathen you gonna eat them raw...smh). Should be golden brown when you do flip them.

Grab your organic REAL MOTHERFUCKING MAPLE SYRUP and slather on your butter!

EAT THAT SHIT!

Best pancakes ever.

I don't like American pancakes. Didn't like them when I was eating food with insane amounts of sugar (maple syrup) and now they are off limits anyway.
