Title: Can't update launcher

I decided to download c-rpg again after a couple years and whenever I try to update it all I get is an error

[18:45:26] The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

[18:45:26] at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.EndGetResponse(IAsyncResult asyncResult)
[18:45:26] at System.Net.WebClient.GetWebResponse(WebRequest request, IAsyncResult result)
[18:45:26] at System.Net.WebClient.DownloadBitsResponseCallback(IAsyncResult result)
[18:45:26] Update failed

When the window pops up, go for update, then when it fails press NO and it will start normally :)
everyone gets that error

I did that and the game will launch but now whenever I connect to a server the game will crash.

Okay so this is a complete upload of a cRPG folder someone (trusted) uploaded, thats how I solved the problem:

http://www.mediafire.com/download/z35hzkgmkvydf7x/cRPG.7z


It contains the folder >cRPG< which you just replace with the current cRPG folder (steam apps>download>commons>cRPG), save your character faces and stuff before if you find it!
It also contains all WSE2 datas so you can just run it with that on.

Also in case that doesnt work either, which some people here had aswell, try to reinstall both cRPG and native warband.

edit 2: And if that doesnt work either I guess you have to wait until the next update since our current cRPG head dev announced a launcher fix today = repair soon (tm)

Hi after a year I wanted to play this mod again, and I went to download it and I get an error. I don't have any original files of the mod

An error while downloading? I just checked the link and it should work properly.

If you get the error while loading cRPG then there might have been an update in between, but I cant remember actually  :shock:

If you have warband installed over steam then just drop the unpacked file without renaming or anything where other warband mods are aswell ((my)path in post before).
If you did that and it really still doesnt work then hm...

oh wait, you get the error where he askes to update to 4.5.2.0?
If so, press yes, and THEN when it fails press no, then it starts normally :)

In case you have another error please tell when and where, before loading or when you try to enter a server etc.

i expirience the same prolem
after i press NO c-rpg starts to update, but it finishes with themessage "c-rpg was not installed" all the time
what to do?

First press yes to update and on next window press No (=not trying again)

If that doesnt work you dont have the correct, or any, version installed, then you just download the file from above and replace your current cRPG folder :)

I downloaded the launcher fine, but when I want to install CRPG from it it gives me an error saying remote server returned an error 404 not found

Dude what the hell read it again, the launcher is not downloading correctly.
You have to download cRPG from the mediafire link above, you put that folder as a normal warband mod into the warband mod folder, then you launch cRPG through the launcher and it works fine, when it then asks to update first you press yes and then no and then it starts normally

You basically just have to bypass the non working launcher download by downloading the file from another site (mediafire link), clear?

Could devs simply roleback the previous version that works ?

This is stupid, 1 month later and still the same problem.

Haven't played cRPG for months. :|
