Is my existing stack of money deleted? (200k)

Can I retire back to 1 once i've checked out a build, and then play to 31?

Bascially I've been retiring at 15 about 7 times now to keep trying out new melee builds, because I don't want to lose the money I gained as an archer.

Somone can correct me if I'm wrong, but if you use 'skip to the fun' that will be your only character. No alts, etc.  Once used, you still get gold, but exp never increases and you cannot retire.  The only way to get back to 1 is to delete the character and start a new one. You won't have any gold, equipment, etc.
