QGH

I am doing the A levels (Matura in Austria) in 2-3 months and really need a Laptop for this, also for studying afterwards.

But since my PC broke down completely (Rip 2006-2015) I am trying to find a Laptop for both gaming and working.

Since I am a student I am allowed to buy a new one through this auction : https://www.ubook.at/produkte/
Basically good and new laptops going for a bit less than normally. However most of those are over >1200€ which is too much for me ;_;

So if you think you can recommend me a solid laptop you are most welcome! Price around 0 - to a max of 800-1000€

I agree with Fin.
Thinkpads are solid workhorses and a quick look at that site showed some promising candidates.
No idea about mobile gfx cards tho. You would need to google that yourself.
They come with SSD. Just get an SD card or external HDD for mass storage later on...

Although, if you don't need mobile computing, for 800€ you can get a proper desktop PC up and running, I'd say.

Just keep in mind that these laptops are not made for "gaming" so after prolonged exposure to cRPG it will get hot.  :wink:

Yeah don't really get what they did there either, but it has next gen ram (ddr4) and a good graphics card though and storage is always easy to upgrade/change for a low price

Its a hybriddrive. 8gb ssd is used as a cache.

your admin? is that the reason the launcher doesnt work?

if you really need a laptop right now u can have my old gaming laptop, its not good anymore, 4 years old or so but I guess office programs and crpg runs well on it.

Be wary of Lenovos as they are often lacking in the graphics department. Mine has a comparatively powerful cpu when put next to other manufacturers' offerings at the same pricepoint, but it will often run games worse than them, even with the "1GB nvidia dedicated graphics card." A couple of my friends have HP laptops that were cheaper than mine yet run games better, since they have better graphics cards at the cost of processing power. I only got a lenovo since it was part of some overpriced bundle that came with all the software I needed for schoolwork, otherwise I definitely would have found a more gaming-friendly laptop. Lenovos are often marketed as "business laptops" and don't for a second think otherwise.

MSI GE62 Apache i7 4720HQ, GTX 960M, 128SSD,1TBHDD WIN7 € 1000 on allegro.pl so it's possibile to buy gaming laptop for reasonable price.

Don't get a 17" Laptop. A big display is nice to have but if you want to take it to school, work and other places you will want a smaller one, trust me... so I guess 15,6" is the best size (thats what she said).

What communist is forcing you to buy from this awful website? It's all highly overpriced, ugly and terrible for anything other than running MS Office.

A 1000€ laptop will run you pretty much every game that comes out. One example:
