Greetings!

Today I played c-rpg again (like always) and I noticed a person called WolvenSpIrIt in the server.
Which is ofcourse impersonating. I have no clue if it's allowed or not, but it's happening.
After this another guy who called himself Wolvenspirit showed up and joined in.

They're both in the Clan For Fun. And they're semi-trolling with my name.
Calling me WolvenShit and telling me to change my name so they can keep it. Ofcourse I can handle a bit of banter.

But they're also kick and ban polling without reason.

I want to make sure that everyone (and mostly) the admins know that these guys arn't me.

I'm either WolvenSpirit or WolfeySpirit.

Please make sure that if you are kicked or banned, it's not me. as I rarely poll.
And for admins to make sure you ban the correct Wolvenspirit and not me, the original WolvenSpirit.

I'd appriciate it if this would stop. Tough putting up this forum thing will make it worse.
This is only a notice to everyone and mostly admins to make sure that I'm not multi-accounting and I'm not one of those guys.

Either way, it's fine for people to hate (particularly in C-RPG, which seems to be the center of all hate) but kick polling and ban polling shouldn't be happening.

Back on topic: impersonating is a bannable offense, post it in ban section bro.

Impersonating someone with is authorization is cool.
Without his authorization, but not doing anything uncool, or even unaware about doing an impersonation, is cool as long as the original doesnt care.
Without your authorization AND making other things on top of that that are also bannable (poll abuse for example), is super duper not cool can lead to very huge legit bans.

Seeing as you are uncomfortable with the impersonation I've placed a year ban on Rest_in_Peace and Sad_hobo for impersonation

Condition for ban appeal is name must be changed:

Impersonation is against the rules and is a bannable offense; With your consent it is fine but this thread shows me you are not and are worried about being banned. So their names will be changed or they wont play.

You did not need to delete your character all you had to do was change your name; Admins wont do anything about impersonation unless its directly stated you don't want it to be allowed. (Which he has stated in this thread)

I will check your account for the name and if its clear'd you are unbanned. Name search in admin function is not case sensitive so searching "wolvenspirit" would result in the original character being flagged by the admin - which could lead to false punishment due to very similar names... Rule of thumb don't do it unless original player is 100% okay with it.

Edit:: Your account is clear of the problem you've been unbanned.

- FYI its actually a permanent ban or name changed: the year time is just me applying a time hoping they will comply to the name change... If he doesn't comply he will remained banned forever. (after a few weeks of him refusing name change I will extend the ban time to 2025 or so.)

I never understood the rule about using someone else's name. Did they scam someone using the name? Did they gain advantage of it in general? In case they didn't do anything evil everyone should be able to use whatever name they want.

For example if some other guy decides to have the name Kratos - there is one in NW that I know - will I be able to make a legit report about that if I feel uncomfortable? I shouldn't be able to, since I don't own the mythological person or the copyrights of the video game character, in this case, since RIP and Hobo are pure bundle of stickss, they banpolled people so their ban is more than legit but if I make a char called Wolvenspiritt and keep claiming I am the original will that gwt me banned? If yes then it is pure bullshit.
