Truly a fine war that was. You learned a lot about each other. A peaceful rest and alliance after all of the cool battles you fought is well earned.

The confederacy brotherhood war is the one I will remember most fondly. You guys have big dicks and are not bundle of sticks care bears for entering into an alliance with each other.

my favorite part was that not only was there an alliance but it is literally so carebear that it is "enforced" by two totally separate factions that if anyone disobeys the Internet agreement they all shit on them for starting conflict in a war game

hahahaha i love how u put this and its rare me and u agree But were going to have more Dhirim battles this is not the end of the bloodshed so stay tuned  I would rather not waste peoples time at the moment with meaningless shit 20k ticks of XP when we could have over 100k

The problem with this "war" is that anytime someone would try and make an offensive move on either side someone from outside would cockblock and the other side would get like a thousand messages from different factions saying "if u do that we will come and kill you". So yeah that war was weak af and ending it now was probably the best decision for me and Knightmare to make.

I, uh..

That's how shit gets popped off and interesting, man! You know, any sort of conflict with disparity between sides (all of 'em really) is going to involve one side requesting overt or covert assistance from others. After all, everyone is presumably interested at least a bit in "victory".

I understand the bombardment of messages on forums and site when diplomacy is going on. Shit, I feel bombarded at times in this strat when we barely even HAVE diplomacy in this faction here.

But man, I'm a little disappointed in you. Not specifically for not fighting knightmare, but for backing down from a fight without any proper campaign on either side. Not just that, but allying with your "enemy"!

The most fun part of any strategus round for me was certainly leading the new and small Frisian faction against a somewhat established faction in early Strat 4. I recognized that we were outnumbered, so I eagerly sought out the most powerful friends I could find, and attempted to present ourselves on the forums as tougher than all shit (and by that I mean autistic as all shit).

That shit was awesome, and we never even considered backing down from someone that had initiated aggression on us, we never really pondered quitting because we didn't want to expend the effort. I understand that not everyone is down to be a strat nerd, and that shit's fine. If everyone that played cRPG was a full-fledged strat nerd as well, I imagine the global economy would take a minor hit from lost revenue.

But goddamnit, if you're gonna be a nerd-herding sort, you gotta stick with this shit!

I'd also like to throw props out to Blue and other guys from that old Halitrous faction. After losing several key players, they ain't quitting. They aren't complaining for shit, either. He's understandaby asked for a bit of a ceasefire to organize a new strat faction...and naturally, I've not been at the PC to make that happen. Sorry for that, bud.

But for real buddy, say you attacked Knightmare in force and (completely arbitrary) say HOC jumped in full force against you. My intelligence on the matter isn't the best at all, but I reckon you'd be in a bit of shitty water with that fight. You know, you aren't so intensely unlikable that YOU couldn't pull other factions into the war with you. ESPECIALLY if you find yourself outnumbered. Ain't ANYONE in this strat so unlikable that they're fucked in terms of friends. So you throw an endorsement behind President Trump or some shit, and HE comes to your aid. Now its a fair fight or a fight in YOUR favor. You know what happens if the tables turn and you've got more folks, resources, and brain cells than the other side? They'll do the exact same thing until everyone uninvolved are constantly hammered (ala Arys), constantly neutral (ala fucking pussies), or already engaged in an unrelated conflict.

what this autism is trying to tell you is that you were a little bitch tristran, i'm sorry, but i feel an obligation to let you know when you goofed up

but its ok you can make this right

Sandy u know what we posted on this forum was like 1/8 of what we talked about and did, we agreed the whole community does not need to know everything that pertained to it,

Also we talked for hours together about everything it was not some surrender or die kinda bullshit there is alot more to it then anyone else besides our 2 clans can see.

That's fair, however the general principle we see at play here is that you feel it is better not to fight than to fight. You keep talking about shitty battles as if we'll never reach plate unless we care-bare together. That is straight up wrong. In fact if the majority of the map does care-bare it up until plate they'll probably be so many people that stop playing because they are bored that the fights then will be even worse than now.

Strat is interesting so long as the people that play make it interesting, and doing dick all for 2 years ain't interesting, let me tell you. The community is on an up-swing at the moment due to the start of a new round. The longer it takes for most factions to become involved in player vs. player wars the more difficult it becomes to keep that momentum up.

Me, kesh and tristan just supplied NA with some great Town battles against a meat grinder so no one can say shit, i will be making more battles ASAP not sitting in some fucking town jerking myself off for the rest of strat u can quote me on that, I already have my eyes set on next targets.

That's dandy, but battles alone don't make strat interesting. It's the nature of conflicts, how they start, where they take place. It's the little things getting blown up into major wars, it's the " Let's go fuck on them" motivation that keeps people engaged. Fighting AI isn't boring because the battles have low tier gear, it's boring because you can't put a persona to the AI, you can't make an enemy out of it. There aren't any real stakes beyond "Meh this gear kinda costed money". You need to have player wars from the very get go otherwise people disengage with the community, especially when there are fewer of us around in the first place.

Sparvico you make a good point. Don't worry within a week I'll make someone angry and they'll declare war on me or someone will piss me off and I'll declare war on them.

This is an official notice then kid. If you do not manage to find yourself engaged in a real conflict by this time next month your holdings will be considered in forfeiture pending reclamation by a faction that will actually use them.
