Title: Make Viking round shield 0 difficulty
Post by: Nordwolf on February 17, 2016, 09:59:23 pm
And give it really slow speed or similar shit stat, would be on par with donkeys/mules when regarding to cav and 0 diff throwing lances. And leave it unshealthable still, a shield that you carry into battle and drop when you engage into combat.
Oh and making it 2 slots would be better as well, since 3 make practicly any setup unusable with it.

That sounds like a pretty cool idea. Guess we'll have to try it out

Good idea! Can be effective against range. Archers, crossbowmen and throwing. When not in use, unshealthable! unsheathable! 8-)
AND PLZ 148 BACK.

1. Have a Viking shield in each hand. 2. Curl into a ball so that you're not touching the ground. 3. Roll.

As far as I know it adds the shild armour to your body armour when hit in the back.
Shield armor + 10. So Milanese plate + Heavy Gauntlets + Steel shield on your back = 164 body armor for your back
Not actually viable for infantry as the shield on your hand is more effective, but cavalry doesn't get any negative bonuses for carrying two shields so the extra shield on your back can be useful. I tried it for a while, but it was a pain to try and drop the second shield when I was dismounted so I gave up on it.

Leave my new bby shield alone  A viking shield shouldn't be some slow portable anti-arrow wall for 2h/poles. They were big, light and quick.
