Title: Retaining stolen/picked-up weapons after round end

Simple enough, I've spoken to a few nerds about this and they certainly do miss this long-gone feature. I don't seem to remember much fuss being made about it either way when it was removed; maybe there is a technical limitation now imposed that I'm unaware of.

I have a vague recollection of the argument against it being "de-valuing looms", since any player could pick up and retain a +3 item without having to work for it. While I do not agree, at least the argument made a bit of sense in those days. Looms and LPs were very precious, and the economy was drastically different.

Anyone else feeling this? I'd adore being able to keep a slain enemy's weapon in order to humiliate him further. Ideally, I'd kill some poor fellow on the first/second round, steal his weapon, and continue killing him with it each round afterwards.

Definitely miss this. It interrupts my favorite Warband minigame, too; use the weapon of who you kill until you kill someone else (and then use their weapon) or die yourself. Round ends are only pauses, but according to cRPG they mean "New Game". End the madness.

Yes.  Please put this back.  It's fun.

It's not like devaluing looms -- if you die, you lose the item.  You can use it for maybe a round or two.  No reason not to have it.

Stealing horses was the best.

Dunno exactly when it ended but I was sad cuz I made an alt just for this feature that could pick up pretty much any weapon besides bows. And had wpf in them. It was fun to do and I had fun picking up random weapons every round.

I seem to recall cmp saying that this was related to WSE changes in the server and/or client code.

Yeah, I seem to recall that shit as well. It was only a few months after I started playing "seriously" (that is, still being a huge noob but being redpilled and trying to git gud), and that was indeed a hot fucking minute ago.

Newbie friendly intricate loot system:

Amazing idea ahead, if you have health issues read on own risk, this is not for the faint of heart:

The following items become available to the LOWEST scoring SURVING player on the WINNING team.
-All weapons from dead players that has not been used(Never hit,block or shot with)
-All Armors from dead players(that has not been hit(glances included), eg. if someone is oneshotted in head then helmet is unavilable but gloves, chest, and foot armor is available)
-Horses that survived and hasn't been "hit"(glances and bumps included)
