So, I read this article about the newly discovered tallest tree of the world.
I scroll down to the comments to see one comment I really approve of:

And a wild American appears. Actually more than one of them, but this guy sticks out. Easily the winner:
Metric system??Really?? besides the fact that you can google”what is 379 feet in metric units” as we americans do when reading EU articles,you should realize that coolaide drinking EU,s swamped by refugees groping your women and socialist ideas that have led to the failure of your region makes you second place in the world AT LEAST!! So don’t expect the world to live up to your failed,second best,mesurments.

There's a really cool book called The Oldest Living Things in the World. If you like giantass oldass trees it's worth looking at. Some of the info and pictures here:

Also I can't find the wiki page now, but there used to be a tree that was the farthest living tree from any other living tree on earth. It was in the middle of the desert (can't remember if it was in Saudi Arabia or Africa somewhere) and it died. Because it was struck by a drunk driver. Some dude was fucking tanked driving his SUV in the desert and hit the farthest tree from any other tree on earth. What the hell man.
