No, the one hiring the soldiers provides weapons, armour and other equipment.

You want documentation on Strategus, when documentation for cRPG doesnt exist?  :lol:

IT WAS the weapon you use in the crpg can't be used in the Strategus so yo have to buy weapon for our soldiers/mercenaries (is the same you see in the c-rpg but the price is divided by 100) or loot them from a battle.

AFAIK there will be no "buy weapon/armor' feature in strategus. At least not like it was before. You will have to craft the weapons/armors frist, and then sell them on the market.
