Title: In Before Whine
Post by: Tristan on May 27, 2011, 09:50:10 pm
I seem to recall such a thread, but it seems lost.
All I wish to do with this thread is for people to consider a few things before asking for a nerf or whine.
1) Some class are slower to be effective than other class because the either require more wpf or more skills. Shielders and Archers come to mind. 2) What lvl were you, compared to your opponent? If you are not yet level 30, you might just have been outclassed 3) If you ask for a nerf, did you try the item yourself? Did you rule the world as much as your opponent? 4) If you ask for a buff, are you doing significantly better with other weapons?
This thread is a good example of constructive critisism: http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,6458.0.html
This thread is an example of bad critisism: http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,6839.0.html
In the first case, the player have obviously experience with several aspects of the game where as in the other thread the player has never tried the opposing class.
There might be more things to consider, but this is at least a beginning.
