Not sure why I'm banned. My previous ban has already expired, I remember hearing something about how what I say on the forums is not tied in to what I do in game for determining a ban. Just really confused, since no new thread has appeared mentioning me.
Maybe I got banned for being Chinese and eating eggrolls

Chat abuse on October 17 at 22:45. Usually warrants a mute at most, but you've made a habit of it. Your ban expires on the 28th.

10 Day ban for chat abuse?
-
Wut. A 10 day ban for chat abuse? Thats some pretty crazy shit, someone cleary just doesnt want Schoi to participate in the upcoming tourney
-
Yeah, manual unban on the 19th.

Could you help me understand why I am banned for 10 days for chat abuse? Like you said, usually gets me a mute. If you'd like to point out my "habit", that'd be great too.
EDIT: Got banned for saying black people are a lower race than Asians. Didn't say the N word. 10 days for that? I'll just say that's a bit extensive.
-
That's unfortunate. I was looking forward to our ft7 for 10k...

People that constantly get muted for chat abuse will eventually warrant a ban instead of just standardized mutes; clearly mutes didn't do anything so more harsh repercussions are required.

I've been muted only like 2x since I started playing cRPG, maybe even less.
Yet I get banned 10 days for one sentence, 2 days for a ban poll leading to the entire HCE 1.2k army to be killed.
Why are these admins not making any sense
-
The last thing a game with a small community like this needs is banning dedicated players for something as trivial as "chat abuse" when an ingame mute feature exists. Whoever thinks this ban is a good idea can suck my fucking taint.

trivial "chat abuse"
black people are a lower race than Asians

Cassi, it's just my opinion. My opinion isn't very important and can easily be solved with a simple response such as "k".
-
It can also seemingly be solved quite easily by banning you.
- Observation, not a judgement.
But was a 10 day ban the right solution?

If you said those kind of statements at school repeatedly or generally had this kind of attitude towards other people and authority in other community driven aspects of your life you would certainly receive suspensions or bans or worse. This isn't real life, and yes you can get away with saying a lot more shit here, but eventually people are going to get tired of it.
A very similar thing happened with a guy few years ago named spook. He said tons of shit in chat, was a royally rude dude (admittedly also well loved by certain sections of the community) and was eventually permanently banned from the game (there was obv more drama but that is the summary).
Basically I'm saying there is a fairly strong precedent for these kinds of bans in this community so you might think about shaping up.

Well then I might as well just never talk in game like Tiny_Glancer, weird how brocoding is supported by admins which delays the round, and nobody says anything. But then I get a 10 day ban for saying an opinion, nice.

Sauce? Talk in-game? I can't remember the last time I saw him type in the chat. Maybe I just don't pay attention though.
To be clear however it is pretty apparent they are saying the 10 day ban was not for this isolated incident but rather this incident and your history of behavior. I'm also not saying I entirely agree with them schoi, however eventually you have to decided if fighting them on this is really worth your time. It's very unlikely anyone in a position of authority above the admin staff is going to have the time or desire to investigate the situation if this does become a bigger drama mess.

Welcome to the internet, retard.

And the community and it's admins can easily show their disapproval of your opinion by a ban. Which I'm glad they did. Judgement and observation.
