I'm in 5000+ hours club and feel deeply ashamed for it.

I think it would come down to me and Aldo for most hours no joke

I'm probably in 5000+ hours club and feel deeply ashamed for it.

I still suck.
It's also a pity I didn't find the forums earlier

I already played before devs created Mount & blade...
PEPE created the devs who created M&B

So Pepe is to blame for all this...

If you add all the time playing native and singleplayer mods too............... 10k doesnt seem like that much...................

Really, it doesn't? Let's do the math. Warband was released in March 2010, which is now 5,5 years ago. That is about 2000 days, so you would have an average of 5 hours a day for 5 years straight. That is a lot.

For people that have nothing else to do in their lives it isn't that unimaginable. But to carry that on for 5 years straight, and in a single game.. how do you not get tired of it :D
-
No it isn't. I bought Warband in October 2010 and Steam stopped tracking cRPG at the end of November 2011. In that time I logged about 1500 hours, so that is about 3,5 hour a day average. I only downloaded cRPG in December 2010, so its probably not that far from a 5 hour a day average for me too. This was when I was 16-17 though, slagging my way through high school with a complete lack of ambition to do anything.
Also, when searching for when the first launcher patch came out, I found this beautiful thread:
http://forum.melee.org/general-off-topic/death-of-c-rpg(maybe-a-slow-death)/
Nearly 4,5 years later we're still trucking, sort of.

Bloody hell man, first comes the family and then the games normally, but who am I to say this with 3000 hours in gmod.
-
When you're a bit obsessive compulsive this game is bane of your existence. Has necessary ingredients: complex gameplay that never gets old and infinite grind. Because of these two qualities, ocd people tend to get into it in very serious manner which translates into sweet drama in abundance. Just like gameplay drama can get repetitive but it is complex enough to keep player interest after many years.
What I find confusing how come not a single crazy person (lets face it, game like this attracts crazy people) attempted to break vicious circle by doing some permanent harm to game creators.

Probably because your obsession with the creators of this mod is pretty unique, even within this community

Creators of this mod are IT people, unlike majority of cRPG players. We have something in common. I don't have anything in common with rednecks who hunt ducks in their spare time and have more guns in the basement than my local police outpost.
And you are wrong, there was that Odin guy who threatened to kill chadz. I was just wondering how come there wasn't more of his kind, given circumstances.

Take my word on this, Odin's madness was not cRPG exclusive

It is actually pretty easy to get a pretty okay number, count ur gens, add the xp u did, minus double xp nshit, add the xp ur chars have now.
Then ull get a sick amout of xp. Divide it now with the average amount of x you have, like 2,5 should be okay for most. Will be then for me something like
600 mio : 6000 xp (joined right when they enabled double xp)
= 100000
100 000 : 60
1,6 k hours.
-
For the past 3 years I spent roughly 0.71 hours per day in this game... I'd believe it.
