Increase IF to 3 hp per lvl.
No point in taken IF as it is now make the skill count
-
No, it would be seriously OP if you did that, its fine now as it is being an auxuliary that is infact very usefull.
If you did the 3 hp thingy lets say i have 8 IF in a 24/15 build. I would have 83 hp instead of the regular 75, while still having 15 agi and being able to move reasonably fast, that would be too much

Keep IF the same, but nerf base health. This way, armor will matter more and so will each additional IF point.

Have you tried having a high IF build?
-
Yep. I usually take 0 IF or 6 IF.
-
6 if isn't a high IF build. High IF=8+
6 is average in my opinion.
-
For me its high. IF is the first skill I'll sacrifice for some other skill I want. I'd rather just get used to not letting myself be hit as much.
-
I've had 11 IF and it was only useful with the fattest armor. Even in regular mail, I couldn't take an additional hit from 2h or pole.
If it was possible to make IF give +3HP the devs would already have done it. Sadly, it's not possible ATM. They can only do whole multiples of its effect, so it's either +2 or +4, which would be a bit much, I think. Maybe they should try it, though, would be easy to revert if it turned out OP.
-
I have 7 IF and its awesome, adds a lot of beef.
The only time it DOESN'T make a significant impact is against super heavy 2h weapons that will usually kill in 1 -2 swings anyways.
Against small arms and projectiles its day and night.

I don't think they don't change it for this reason, they could always change the requested attribute per level like for horse archery and make it a +4hp(+1 on the skill) for every 4 str that as you see would be very close to convert it into a 3hp per point
exemple: 24 str=max 8 if with +3 on every hp(impossible to mod, as you said) would be +24 hp (instead of the current +16)
24 str with the method I stated above(1 if every 4 str, every point in if=+4hp)would be 6if x 4hp=24 hp
imo it's just fine as it is, otherwise it would be op

IF is quite balanced compared to other skills. Every PS, PD and PT usually gives you between 2-3 more damage.
And it's a big differene between 2 and 3. I'm sure it's possible to raise it to 2,5 and convert it to an integer.
If that is not possible, is it possible to make any point above 5 IF count as 3 hp?

That's true, but most of the hits I take are from those super heavy 2h/pole weapons unfortunately...

If you are so sure about it, why don't you do it, then? Grab the mod tools and demonstrate how you did it, I'm sure the crpg devs will appreciate your effort...

IF so far is the most useless unrequired stat in the game. The only reason you would take it is if you are a goof (like me)
My 10 if/30 STR char can survive 2 hits with a one handed sword if in light armor. If heavy armor i last much longer but unfortunately it takes roughly 4 seconds for my char to change directions.
Basically it comes down to it, would you rather have 6 additional IF and last roughly ONE hit more while wearing armor, or have additional WM and ATH to spam people who thought investing in IF was worth it

Would it be OP if each level of Iron Flesh added +1 armor?

+1 this is why i made this thread there is not rly much point in goin IF and TBH one mightaswell skip it for greater stats like PS PT PD WPF ect ect....
