Is it going to be any good? movie licensed games are generally not :/

Looks pretty boring, actually. Like a shittier Batman Arkham, sorta thing.

I'm really sceptic about this one.
Not much of a Mad Max fan either.

I heard it is only loosely based on the movie. Open world with more focus on vehicular combat than guns.

0:35 - Car customization
4:03 - Melee combat
4:50 - AC style eagle's eye/Far cry style tower climb/State of decay style surveying
6:00 - World map
9:50 - Car Combat

That's all gameplay wise

Looks pretty fun, actually. Like a better Batman Arkham, sorta thing.

EDIT: You can also buy it for about £15 on Kinguin ( thats including the protection/insurance on your key that they offer ). Probably going to be a pirate for me anyway because I don't trust movie games to be good enough for me to play for more than a few hours.

It's so bad they couldn't even get Tom Hardy's likeness.

Yes, because they couldn't get Tom Hardy's likeness, so they have to say that.

I know that everyone's allowed to have his own opinion but you should check your testosterone level if you didn't enjoy the movie, especially if you watched it in a theater. Unless you're a girl , of course.

Really? That is what you're looking for in this particular movie, mindless action? I expected apocalypse, came short.

Yes, because they couldn't get Tom Hardy's likeness, so they have to say that.
If you watched the video Polobow posted they said it was a totally different storyline dif characters than the movie, besides Max that is. And who cares if it has Tom Hardy's likeness if anything it should have Mel Gibson's likeness. I enjoyed the movie but I still think of Gibson when I think of Mad Max not Hardy.

You shouldn't check yours because if you liked it that's proof enough it's low as fuck. I bet you're also a card-carrying feminist.

As for the "its not based on movie!!!! thata why they no want hardy!!! Differrnt script!!!"....

How does it feel like, being naive as fuck? Must be nice. Yeah, the game has nothing to do with the just released movie, the timing is just a massive coincidence....

Tom Hardy is the celery of hollywood actors. Vegan bundle of stickss are the only ones which enjoy 'it'.

I am so offended  i don't know what to do. When are you getting that sand out of your vagina already? You're like the most bitter poster on this forum.

@ Falka -  i can totally see you trying to be sarcastic and all there, but honestly - yeah, it was kinda a manly movie. It had awesome scenery, cool visuals, creative action scenes and overall it was just FUN. What i was trying to say is it was one of the more fun movie-going experiences for me. It surely wasn't much like the original Mad Maxes (Mel Gibson was an awesome and underappreciated actor btw), but i appreciated it for what it was - a very solid action movie.

And watching manly movies makes you feel so manly! It shows that you have high testosterone level and big balls!

Great comeback. Did you come up with it yourself or did you have to ask for help?

I like how a lot of the reviews I'm seeing on steam involve "it started right up", "I can actually play the game", "I get 60 fps with no stutter".

Damn. We're surprised when a game works on release day.

Most reviews praise the technical aspect of the game. Looks nice and runs very well.
Last one I read even said that it's fun after a bit cuz the story starts off slow. Lots of repetitive mini missions like AC but the main story is supposed to be fun.
Fighting is Batman-like but not as many variety. Solid, I guess.
Car fighting supposingly is quite a lot of fun.

Solid game for Mad Max fans, it seems. Worth to buy it for a small prize... that's my conclusion from what I read and saw.

Why haven't you bought it? It is just 17 euros if you know where to look.

Film was the best action I've seen in years. Physical car stunts in an post-apocalypse desert with brilliant pacing. Not much to complain about, really.

As far as the game goes.. Graphically very impressive,  seems a bit repetitive but I don't mind. Will pick up for sure once I'm a bit more settled.

Worth for £17 if I don't really like stealth/fighting/collectemups? It sounds kind of boring and repetitive. I like the setting but I couldn't get into Shadow of Morder or Arkham games
