Quite hyped for the new open world science-fantasy based RPG ELEX by Piranha Bytes which has been announced like 1-2 months ago.
There are no real further informations but as a long time Gothic and Risen player I can promise you a complex open world game with brutal characters and "harsh language" (wooow)
edit I: I know that the Piranha Bytes teams is actually very small in comparison to.. well almost all other developing teams I know. But I have never been disappointed by any of their games, great atmosphere, awesome music, complex world structure and brilliant character details (non-graphics related details)

Piranha Bytes is no more for a longer period of time. Kai doesn't compose music for their games and half the people from original team that made Gothic left PB before Risen was released. They got fucked over by Jowood, the worst publisher in history of video games. Good thing Jowood is no more.
Old Piranha Bytes would never use same engine for such long period, they would improve it at some point. Their engine wasn't improved since Gothic3/Risen (difference between these two versions are memory optimizations). Which translates in awfully dated looking games with rigid animations. Nothing important for good RPG, but in fact their games have went down the shitter since 3/4 of Risen campaign. They scrapped rich, hand-crafted open world where your actions matter and replaced it with generic German action RPG set in bunch of small areas with loading screens, populated with bland characters and a story which leaves a lot to be desired.
Piranha Bytes were my favorite developer, took me some time to realize they will never be the same again.

Charming visuals, it looks janky but i like it over over dramatic "epic" combat. But if it plays like trash then its trash.

I loved gothic 1-3 and risen1, but I'll carefully wait 1-2 months after it has been released before I buy
Gothic 3 wasn't ready at release and fixed by the community with an over 1gb fat patch (and I don't even want to talk about gothic 4), that's why 'll be careful first

its out btw.
Dont understand most of the negative feedback. Its quite awesome and definitely like Gothic 1 not really beginner friendly. So if you like to get your ass kicked from the first minute on, buy it.
