Hi everyone, I'd like to raise another noob question: how to make money in this game?
Currently I've got some equipment and I farm money in combats, but the repair price is crazy ( I can play for an hour and stay with the same amount as I started). I inderstand that repair is needed for the economy to avoid inflation, but perhaps there is a way to raise more money if it's not possible to avoid repair cost?

take cheaper gear. leave your horse at home and try to be good.
if you make your team win or get valour you can ride the x5 wave.
not too long ago you would have gone broke in no time with all the expensive gear you are wearing.
-
So do I understand it right that there is mechanics which forces players to sometimes use lower gear?
-
have a look at your items. they have an upkeep value proportional to their buying cost.
your Items will break every now and then( I don't know the exact numvers) and you have to pay the items upkeep value.
so if you have cheaper gear you have to pay less upkeep.
So try to find out what you can wear to stay even . from there you can regulate down if you want to earn money.
edit: just saw you naked :D :D
don't go naked this can be seen as leeching.

Thanks! You get naked each time you respec for 1 round :( (I skipped the fun to understand what fits me best)

Basically, you're wearing a plate. That's why you loose a lot of money, try to get a cheaper armor, go look if there's one that fits to your playstyle while costing only 1000 gold more or less. Do the same for the other armor parts, and you'll be fine.

A lot of players have different sets for different times. Like if you're on x5 people often go heavier gear but x1 they go cheaper gear.
-
Thanks, very useful!

Or you ride the light armor agiwhore wave 8-)

Money comes in so fast these days, even with heavy gear and perma x1 I make like 10 k gold an hour, I seriously can't understand how it's even possible to lose money now. I mean, even before the last patch I made money on x1 with medium gear.

Yeah im not sure what your wearing, I still make lots of money when im wearing Fleur De Lys Heavy AR, one of the best helms and polished gauntlets.... whats UR problem!!!
If you want recommendations on good armor to savings value.
Try wearing - Heraldic Tabard of Mail and Plate , only 595 and brings you way beyond the squishy level.
If you have low WPF your chances of that weapon breaking are apparently much higher. Try and have at least 140 WPF to save money/be useful with weapz

I always used to have a troll alt that I levelled up and than retired at lvl 31. All high agi, piss cheap armour in mind, like shotgun xbower, dagger thrower, knife fighter and swashbuckler :)
P.S.: OP, if you aren't in a clan you can join Peasants United (http://c-rpg.net/?page=ladderoverviewclans#!?page=claninfodetail&id=2216) and get your gear from the armoury. There are over 800 items in there and we own every item in the game. There is a tiny daily fee (0.14% of the store price, aka after 1 year you'll only have paid half the store price), but this way you can actually try out weapons before you buy them so you don't end up having to sell that at half their price because you don't like them.
You can also look for actual clans while playing, see who you like and ask them if you can join. They usually have much more loomed items, but ofcourse they don't have them all.

We got every armor with a upkeep of 400+ and all ranged/cav items in the game. Will probably join with my 2H char soon too so we have all the 2H items:D

It's not leeching as long as you spawn with a weapon and attempt to use it. Spawning without armor or clothing is not leeching.

I'll look into buying the missing items for the armoury once the banner slot prices atleast look a bit more affordable :)
