Rules:

1. All participants must ride a mount.
2. Dismounted participants must switch to their sidearm weapon which can be no greater than 100 length.
3. Participants are restricted to their team's theme and must use the uniformed armor.
4. Skipped-the-Fun characters only.
5. A maximum of 1 horse ranged player per team.
6. All participants must uphold maximum integrity and be respectful to each other.

Failure to adhere to any rules will result in immediate disqualification and public flogging.

The tournament will take place on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 7:00PM EST.

Every participant will be added to a completely random team of knights so everyone has a fair chance to win and no one has to go around recruiting a team. Anyone is welcome to join, NA, EU, wherever. There will be no discrimination in this tournament. Each team will have a unique theme which only affects the armor worn, and all weapons are allowed, with the exception of sidearms being no greater than 100 length.

The teams will be created and announced on the day of the tournament (out of the present players only) and participants will be given 1 hour in FFA to practice, coordinate, discuss strategy, etc. At the end of the hour there will be a single round FFA in which the last knight standing will win glory for themselves and a prize. After the FFA, the tournament will begin. The full event will last 9 or 10 matches with a single round for each match.

The tournament will have an official Teamspeak server with announcers and judges. Address: 173.254.41.101
If you choose not to join the Teamspeak then you must pay close attention to admin chat during the event.

Prizes:

The champion team will receive full nobility as knights as well as 2 million gold and a special item*.
The team in second place will receive 1 million gold.
The most distinguished knight of each team will receive 35m experience. (To be determined by judges, not exclusively K/D ratio).
The FFA winner will receive 1 heirloom point.
Announcers & Judges will each receive 300k gold for services.

Lastly, every participant will receive 150k gold to cover the cost of their travels and purchased equipment as well as souvenirs and tavern debts.

* Details on the special item will be announced at a later date ;)

Only leather boots and gloves are allowed.
Knights may ride any horse or wear any helmet.

The second tier match is a three-way battle royale (with cheese) and the victor will move on, runner up will move to the special lower bracket, and the first team eliminated will join the lower bracket normally.
The small crown is a special event if the lower bracket team beats the previously undefeated team. Instead of another round, the champions will be determined by a series of jousts. Each team will send one knight to joust until he or she is defeated and then replace them with another knight. The last knight standing claims victory for their team.

I can see you struggled to put those...sentences together, so it is only fair that I reply. This tournament is not designed for everyone. It gives no advantage to tryhards with full loomed everything. It gives no advantage to me or my friends who could have formed an elite cavalry team. It gives no advantage to anyone, and everyone, good or bad, can join it with an equal chance of winning. If you are use to having an 80% chance to win things that you join, I'm sorry but you won't find that here. This is the only tournament that a new player has a chance to meet new friends, learn a bit about the game and the community, and if luck is on their side, actually win.

Just to clarify, there are no sign ups.

You just show up during the time of the event and those who wish to participate will be asked to spawn (the rest stay in spectator mode) and I make the teams then and there.

Just make sure you vote at the top of this post so we can get an idea of how large the teams will be.


Anyone can still apply for being an announcer or judge (if no one does then we won't use TS I suppose - and I'll have to find an admin to help judge...or do the roles myself).

If there aren't enough participants to have at least 3 player per team, I'm afraid this might not even be worth it.

Right now there aren't even enough for two people per team lolz. We shall see... :rolleyes:

LOLERS Skates, Im sure there will be a good turnout when the time comes, I will go into NA server and harass people to hop on and join Tourney later today   :)

The tournament is cancelled. It was already delayed a week because no one showed interest and within the extra week only a few did. However, on the actual time of team creation no one was in the server.


So whoever wants to use the template or whatever, feel free. I'm not wasting anymore of my time.  :mrgreen:
