Personally I find "a EU" or "a NA" extremely awkward to read, as the meaning of the abbreviation never gets pronounced in speech either, I would say the normal rules for vowel sounding words apply.

Just because you can't do something right doesn't mean the rest of us can't. There's a good amount of NA players and EU players that type like a bunch of autistic retards and there's a bunch who can actually form complete sentences.
