Title: Will Catelyn Stark be Back for the Finale?

I believe so. Major spoilers ahead.

1. In the trailer for episode 10, they show a brief scene of moat cailin, and there is a mysterious figure dramatically staring at it from afar. So far the only major characters even remotely close to moat cailin are : ____ also, it is held by the Boltons, and if you read the books... You know what I mean.

2. In the credits on IMBD, they had a brief few days in which Catelyn's actor played a "hooded woman" in S5E10.... who might that be? Also they IMMEDIATELY brought it down a day or two later. Odd.

3. Lena Heady made a "stone heart" on instagram. Grasping at straws there but hey, still something.

4. If she appeared in the finale, it would match up with the current timeframe.

5. They showed both the Freys and the Brotherhood without banners in the kickoff looking back part of season 5. Why would they do that, unless they are both about to become important to the story...

6. Both the Freys and the BwB oddly dissapeared for 2 seasons...

7. The BwB currently has played almost no role in the storyline besides being more people for Arya to argue with, so I think the writers have something more in mind for them.

8. Wouldn't it be soooo ironic if Brienne spent a whole season outside Winterfell trying to get Sansa and then Catalyn herself appears and tells Brienne to go on another mission... These types of ironies have appeared at every possible point in the show really-Martin and the writers looove ironies.

9. The actor roster for season 6 looks like the Freys are gonna be back in business.... And why would that be? To keep cleaning the bloody floors of the Crossing?

10. Martin himself said "she will play a big part in the future storyline."

What do you think?
P.S. I'm actually not trolling on this topic, I think she will make an appearance.

I hope not. She has nothing to do with the main story anymore , and I doubt Senarists* will mention her anymore.Since the TV show is not following the books anymore.

Hope she doesn't return, adds nothing but gayness. Catelyn suddenly coming back to life after we see her die, her throat cut and then thrown into the river in a low magic world will just make the audience go "meh, lame."

Well, the last time we saw undead super magical things, it was the most breathtaking, scary, intense, and all around badass scene in the entire series.

Also, she is quite important to the storyline, seeing as she is very possibly the 2nd reincarnation of Azor Asshai or whatever, she sets Brienne on her "Jamie or you" mission, and brings chaos to the Freys. Also, her story in the books has not yet finished, so there really is no way to tell just how important she is, unless we can get inside Martin's head.

And Jamie won't be in Dorne forever, thats why the timeframe is perfect. Jamie goes back to Kings Landing, realizes that incest is actually punished now so gets the hell outta there to go clean up the Riverlands. This all takes place shortly after she ressurects.

Lady Stoneheart is a crap storyline that I hope they ditched forever for the show.

With Jamie in Dorne and Brienne in the North an appearance of her wouldn't make too much sense. After all they completely abandoned the Riverlands storywise.

On the other hand, after all the crap they pulled off this season you can never know...

i'm not going to complain if catelyn stark resurrects and fucks all his remaining family members + brienne  :|

yes would be a fantasy porno-thriller in that case but anyone is going to expect that  :mrgreen:

It's possible they'll bring her back... but I think the figure on the cliff in the promo is supposed to be Daenerys because they cut to a shot of the Meereen throne room right after. More likely they'll

The perfect time for her to appear would have been episode 10 of last season. Now it's pretty much pointless... I mean she could still appear given the episode's title. But chances are below 10% imho.

Yeah I don't think that's Moat Cailin. In the books he takes her to a remote mountaintop somewhere north of Meereen before they fly on to the steppe and that cliff looks like it fits that setting.

Doubt it. What many forget is that the reason this series exists (not talking about the book but TV-series adaptation) is because of the Red Wedding. That's what hyped Dan and David to create the series and a big reason of it.

And remember with so many show fans going nuts when it happened, to have one of the ones who died then come back to life would be a bit derpy. Although I wouldn't care.


I could sacrifice any characters and be okay with anything as long as

She wouldn't just have come back to life though. It more of a zombie-demon version of her. More like a ghost than a human. I found her character in the books horrifying and I think they're missing out a great opportunity to bring suspense to the series.
