Title: MW restriction
Post by: Pandor_Archer on June 10, 2015, 08:29:28 pm
I sugest to make restrictions on equiping MWs 2-3 per char. The reason is obvious i guess.

Not obvious enough, are you in a hurry or did you just not have any legit reasons to back your suggestion up?

Wouldnt be fair, i wasted so much time to grind all my looms, i retired now for 84 times, and played for my looms, and now just decrase them to about 3 items? Thats not fair at all

Please make it fair for people like myself. Set up a 0 loom restriction so people without looms do not have any kind of disadvantage.

Ok since u dont get the point ill try to explain.
First reason - newbies wont get so big disadvantage.
Second reason - it will bring some choise, as for me Masterworks should complement ure build, so u have to decide whats is more important for u. Maybe make MWs more powerfull or smth.
My english is bad, so im not sure if i express my point right.

Following ure logic, its not fair that wb got only 9 item slots... u can equip max 9mw and u got 28 ( if u retired 84 times)

While this makes sense to a certain extent, I believe limiting the overall MW item limit to favour noobs is a wrong approach.

If new players do not stick around for long, it is not because of looms.
Even if they were a fully loomed tincan they would be easily slain by some veteran who does not own any looms.
Looms only matter if both players are at a remotely equal level of skill. Once you have reached that skill, you will have a loom or two yourself, and already decided to stick to the mod.

Lots of newbies isnt noobs, they came from native or other mods. full looms gives huge advantege vs 0 looms. And "favour noobs" isnt main reason.

Well if ppl from native etc. come to crpg they kinda got a disadvantage, but if they are really better than ppl they are fighting, +3 stuff won't change shit. A +1 to speed or a +3 to dmg is much, but not enough to make a player who's worse than somebody else better than his oponent. +3 is more or less just for fun in my opinion. But what really matters is when u fight against ppl u know allready. A +1 to speed or +5 to headarmor can be unbelievably important when ur enemy knows all ur tricks ^^

+3 dmg +1speed + 10 body armour + 5 head armour +5 leg armour it is changes shit. And why they should be really better? im sorry but i dont really understand why u post this...
The point isnt only in disadvantage for noobs.
