What did we do again!?
Fine, banning everyone who uses the fake 60 inches shield from now on. Cheaters, beware!

Does shield height even make a difference?

With 5 shield skill and using an elite cav, archers can't shoot the feet anyway, i think  :?.

This "ufo shield" shoudnt have a chance to catch any arrow/bolt. That was shield only to melee but somtimes is bigger than huscarl...

My character do not understand shield, they are far to high-tech.
You probably have to low shield skill to understand that. i am to afraid to pick up one, i am sure that shield can explode and i like my virtual arma wa
y to much.

Before anyone gets so defensive why doesn't someone admit this is NOT normal and say ''okay, will be/should be fixed''.

Pff.

Actually, it used to. But now when i use it it does nothing for me as far as ranged coverage. Atleast the round steel buckler, not sure about the other mini's.

When my 50-Str character tries to pick up a small wooden shield, it's like Hulk trying to lift Thor's hammer

Got the raw strength, but not worthy.
I cant even notice what is there, for my char it is like grass or dirt or rock.

Bring back Fasader. This is what you get for casting him aside. High council couldn't balance a stick let alone mod's items.

I'd fix it, but I Would have to put it into voting first which would force other balancers to do extra work and we just don't have the budget for it.

Can you also fix fake coverage of shield ON CAV?

Almost everytime you hit cav to the head it gets blocked by shield. Too many cav wanna-be's get far too much of an advantage of that. If you change something please FINALLY CHANGE THIS.

I just read thread title and thought:

Logic?
You mean the stuff about double negative=positive
Therefore make sure your target of interest says "no" an even amount of times...

Lets just pretend lithuanians make shields so poor they miss one third of their colision boxes.

I think its fine as it is. Balancer's first priority should be balance, not realism that people will hardly notice anyway especially when you put this next to far more unrealistic shield attributes like forcefields. There are inconsistencies across the board with shields, doubt its worth putting much thought into one in particular. Look at shield width for round shields compared to width of square ones for eg. They get extra width to account for their lack of coverage

I didn't even know that there is measure tool  :o

If my math is ok then Hand Pavise Shield height is 64 (not 60) and width is 49 (not 58) [I took only middle axes to do it fast, based on "floating probe" XY results].

I can check other items, but not before the end of my semester.

I may be wrong, but it seemed to me last time i played that ingame stats are different. The values on the website are outdated.

Right, it's 58x89. So there can be 3 different versions, one in-game, one on website and one (in fact) in .brf files. Sounds crazy
