I just thought it was cool tech that was also available in the GTX 900 series :P.
The principle is in this new openGL thing too, same as Mantle, and I believe that DX12 is going to use it too. So, Nvidia cards probably can/should do it :wink:

This is not it, or NVIDIA cards with a single queue wouldn't get any advantage from DX12, which they do. The big boost you see on all Mantle/DX12 benchmarks is from reduced API overhead. Like you said, there is a lot of marketing gibberish in the video; they make it sound like an amazing new technology but it's really just the natural progression of GPU architecture. It will also do very little for games that don't rely heavily on compute shaders for post-processing.
