Title: Block adjustments
Post by: Tomeusz on March 15, 2015, 02:06:36 pm
Is there any way to adjust when block is released(some ini file or somfin)? I mean many times game recognise down block when i want to block left(i keep mose slightly angled on a left side). I would wont to reduce the angle in which there is down block released.

I've never met someone who had this problem due to a mistake in the game mechanics tbh. When it happens it is probably not a bug ingame, it's more likely that you failblocked - happens to everyone.

You should adjust your position so you don't have this problem. Simple as that. Try tilting your monitor, your desk etc. It's much more intuitive to move big clusters of atoms, rather then small particles in your computer, to reach the desired effect.
Or maybe you just have crooked hands, who knows...

If I understand this right, you are talking about the speed at which you go from blocking down to blocking left. That depends on the speed of your weapon - the faster the weapon, the faster the block.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the mouse movement needed for each block. Angles, trajectories and shit.

Then maybe he should lower his mouse sensitivity. If you have a too high sensitivity, you may block wrong unintentionally.

Depends also how you hold the mouse, make sure its straight.. if its twisted and you move left-ish it might sometimes block more up than sideways for example. Reminds me that I should probably have written a hardware/software setup guide for cRPG that I never did.. :)

Basically.. good stable connection, good fps, you can try turning off pre rendering of frames, quality mouse, smooth clean mousepad, correct mouse sensitivity.. ++

Many things influence the performance and your human performance, the older your comp, the more you should probably tweak to make it run as smooth as possible. Smoothness and accurate controls are super important.

i see Tomeusz in the OP, instantly grab popcorn.

On topic, Tomeusz have you tried turning "enhanced pointer precision off in the devices section of control panel?

This should make your mouse more accurate to what direction you move it for blocking in game.

Maybe you already have it turned off so maybe turn it on and see if that helps?  :)

I have corner desk and a good mouse(steelseries rival, previously deathadder for over 5 years) and my mouse is held in 30 angle on left side. So I wanted to adjust when block is released to the left and down because of it.

On an occasion i have this problem since I play on a laptop, i normally just tilt my computer so it realigns with the angle of how i am holding my mouse.

I think I know what the problem is. Haven't you ping became better recently? If it has, you migh experience a so called block delay misconception. Basically when you have higher ping, the time you release the block on the server is later than when you have lower ping. And when you play with higher ping you adjust automatically to that delay to make so efficient moves and attacks.
