Title: Melee battlegrounds funding
Post by: curzman on March 13, 2015, 03:47:24 pm
Hey I litterally just found out about this and it sounds perfect but i noticed the KS failed.

Will there be another funding push?
I noticed you were only asking for 150k which isn't that much and with a few more supporters you could easily get that much.

$89000 short if memory serves

Its the smarter decision to move on, Kickstarter was a waste of time

Right now, we're focusing on getting the game into a fun and playable state. Then we think about more funding :)

Edit: I wouldn't say it was a waste of time. We pushed the game engine very far for the ks, we created many features very fast and we got a good feedback from the public. It wasn't a financial success, but other than that, it served it's purpose.

Can you please tell why don't you want to open concept page in Steam?

If you mean early access, IMO it's a bad idea. A full release that works would serve them a lot better rather than an early playable build, likely with bugs and limited content. Just my two cents.

Next time add more payment options please, like paypal and/or paysafe cards.

Next time add more payment options please, like paypal and/or paysafe cards.

kickstarter = amazon payment (credit card)
indiegogo = paypal or credit card

You can't just 'add' payment options on those funding platforms.

Yeah, but they can make a paypal account aswell, so people can use it.

You forget that they might be legally bound to certain ways depending on local laws (Austrian laws afaik). Including paying taxes and stuff.
It's not some private server donation thing any more.

Not arguing against more payment methods. Merely saying that there may be issues you/we can't/don't consider.

Use it to donate, but not to help get the kickstarter goal achieved.
