Fyi still in heavy development but the devs are very chill and play actively. Also they play fair and dont cheat anything in 8-)

Bump, strongly recommend anyone who enjoys DTV gives this a go!

I'd planned to cRPG grind a bit of gold yesterday, spent all that time on this mod instead.

Some key features:

- Exp is gained through killing bots, you get some for every kill you make. If you kill them in melee you get melee exp, if you kill them with ranged you get ranged exp (this all counts also as 'regular exp' that allows you to level up. You also get 'assist' exp for every enemy your teammates kill, on the website you can allocate assist exp and convert it into regular exp or melee, ranged, mounted exp. If you suicide at the start of the round you get nothing.
- Bots are smart! They'll flank you wherever they can, they can block and they can feint and sometimes they'll troll the shit out you. They also aggro in new an unpredictable ways, if someone's trying to lead a bot train and a guy comes from behind to hack at their backs, it's likely the bots will all turn around suddenly as a group and swarm that guy, death usually follows.
- Shop is currently fairly small, but still satisfying. At lvl 7 you pick your class; barbarian, knight, ranged or assassin and gain the perk of that class, but you also then get that classes items in your shop. At lvl 16 you can advance to tier 2 in your class and get even better items. Same at lvl 25, then after that the requirement is no longer levels but certain amounts of melee/ranged/mounted exp.
- Loot! Every 3rd wave always has a boss, same as DTV, and this boss can drop a weapon that you can add to your inventory. But what's different is that every wave has a % chance for special bots to spawn such as spartan hoplites, and killing these gives a % chance for you to loot a special weapon that doesnt exist in the shop to add to your inventory.
- Crafting, barely implemented at this point but still worth a mention, the items you loot from standard enemies allow you to craft things, higher waves give better items that you want. Early on you can craft a medical dagger that allows you to slowly heal a teammate by hitting them, this is important as you dont automatically heal between rounds.

So far they still need to add a lot in terms of crafting and shop, but the gameplay itself is fantastic, really addictive and really good atmosphere of jolly cooperation. A map had a bugged spawn where a bot spawned behind an invisible wall, the server went down, came back up and was fixed, so it's really nice to be playing something that's still brand new with extremely active development, adding of new features, and fixing of bugs.

This sounds exactly like Nord Invasion.

Now that was a good mod - practically what you put above but on a much bigger scale as the mod is pretty much complete. Nord Invasion was awesome, especially if you had a good team.

I didn't like it. Possibly, because my Native clan who started playing it just kept saying it's so much better than cRPG. Possibly, because I kept telling them to play cRPG with me. Possibly.

Can you block automatically in that mod? If so, I won't even bother.

Sounds a whole lot like Calradia Slave Rebellion, which was dropped but I heard it would make a comeback...

Yup, Medical Dagger, definitely rings of CSR :D

Sounds interesting.

Is there cavalry?
Nord Invasion had a pretty big problem with people infinitely kiting, ended up removing cavalry. (I gave it it's own mode later, but that's a different story :o)

Not sure what CSR did to that end, only really played it in the beginnings.

There is cav, but i guess map design deals with it, because you're really limited to a few routes and bots spawn from multiple directions at once.

One of the guys making maps for them also made maps for CSR  :D
They are highly inspired by CSR and Nord Invasion, propably want to take the good parts of both.

Autoblock was on the last time I checked, but I havent seen anyone using it so far.
Yes,there is cav(I think me and the devs are the only ones that have one tho xD),but,as others said, map design deals with that and there wont be any bot-trains because the AI is smart. And by smart I mean better than the average cRPG player, they even chamber...

And about CSR:I sadly didnt play warband when the first version was released, but I heard of the remake.Sadly, when I checked back early this year, the dev announced that he had to quit it because of another, bigger project.

You can check from the escape menu -> server settings or rules or whatever.
