Gloria Victus looks cool, is it worth dropping the $15 on right now? In the videos the combat doesn't seem very... aesthetic for lack of a better word. The people are hitting each other but besides blood spurting out of your model it doesnt look like your character reacts to the blow. Also, I didn't see any form of blocking in it but he's carrying around a shield so I'd assume its possible?

Skill based as in Melee PVP game, right? There are other competitive games out there...

Gloria Victus is quite fun and is very much skill based, but yea the game is early still, they are doing a lot of updates. I'd wait, unless you enjoy jumping in early.
