For me it is white/gold, but i know from another picture that it is actually  blue/ black.
i for my part like the white one more. blue/black looks terrible.

I do not understand how cameras work, but I can not see anything other than blue and black... White and gold? what? where? That's really mind blowing :P

I just checked the photo again and it was white gold then i stared for a moment and it slowly turned back to black blue ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME

i could see it as both before but after watching this gif now my brain won't let me see it as white and gold

i have read an explanation a few days ago.
the main thing was that the human eye recognize colours by wavelength.
in this special picture the illumination was not the best so your brain is not sure which colour is right and adds or cuts out some informations, to get a plausible outcome.
thats why some people see it blue/black and others white/gold.

For me she goes 180 degrees one way and 180 back.

Then the question becomes, is she facing the camera or looking away?

That's true, but I would hope that the public at large could at least gleam from this that a seemingly black and white (or white and gold; black and blue) issue has certain implications behind it that would cause a person to adhere to a point-of-view, one way or the other.

How does one see this as white and gold? The picture is clearly exposed to too much light from what you see on the side so its logical that my brain corrects for that. I get that it becomes white and gold if your brain assumes there's a blue shadow over the dress, but why would it?
