Simple fix
Turn off shadows at night
And it won't be so bad.
I don't know how much control over the game eng. But there should be way.
-
if possible id say give it a light tint of blue for moonlight also
-
Could Calradia have two suns like Tatooine? Just remove the night, it kills my game experience.
(I would accept a compromise for the dawn and dusk)
-
i am all for getting rid of night time but the powers that be(chadz) seem to like it for what ever crazy reason.

They've never played on a gaming rig and environment where adjusting the gamma doesn't help.

I never understood the big deal with night time. Learn 2 gamma
-
Nighttime isn't so dark if I take off my sunglasses.
8-)
Also: fiddle with your gamma. That helps a lot if you find you can't take off your sunglasses.

I think it would be a shame to remove night time. The more variation in maps and weather the better. Just that the same map can be quite different due to time of day and weather I find to be a good thing.

I think night time brings some nice variation, but I agree that perhaps they could be dusk maps instead (or just make them a little bit brighter, if possible) Someone mentioned changing the gamma all the time, that is both annoying, looks like crap and a cheap trick. There should be an other solution, where those who can or can not (Rumblood seemed to not be able to) adjust gamma have the same difficulty.

There was one map I saw that was the only night map I liked, because it had torches/lamps.
Id say enhance night. Go through every map and place torches/lamps, tint everything a tad bit blue if you can to simulate moonlight, make it a bit more foggy, remove sun shadows, and it will be beautiful.
